We heard back in November last year that Samsung was about to acquire Harman Internationals and now the acquisition is complete. The all-cash deal was completed for a whopping $8 billion, with each of the former Harman shareholders getting 112 USD for every stock they owned.

The good news for those working in Harman is that all staff and other workforce will be retained. Harman will continue to function as a standalone company, but of course, as a Samsung subsidiary. Although Young Sohn (President and Chief Strategy Officer of Samsung Electronics) will now become the chairman of the board of directors at Harman, Dinesh Paliwal will still remain as the CEO of Harman. Samsung is also keeping all of Harman's audio brands like Harman/Kardon, as expected.

This acquisition is one of Samsung's multiple initiatives to venture into the automotive industry. Even then, it makes us wonder if the upcoming Note 8 will feature some of the audio specialties of Harman in them. If you are wondering the same about the Galaxy S8, then you should know that it's too late for that! Nevertheless, we hope for the S8 to feature better audio capabilities than the tinny speakers Samsung packed into the S7 and S7 Edge last year.

We have already seen the Pearl Black Galaxy S8 in action and we know that it is very likely that Samsung will bring back the Blue Coral with the S8 due to the color's popularity. However, what we were not expecting was to hear about a violet color variant as well. According to a recent Tweet by Roland Quandt, the upcoming flagship will feature a violet color, along with the black and silver options. Although I am in love with the black, it would definitely be interesting to see how Samsung integrates violet with the S8 and S8+.

Additionally, Quandt also mentions the price which Samsung will charge for the two devices. If he is right then the Korean giant is going to charge a pretty penny at 799 Euros for the S8 and 899 Euros for the S8+. Of course, the price will vary depending on the location, but it shouldn't do so by much. You should know that MobileFun already has the Galaxy S8 listed for pre-order on their retail site at 799 Euros. The S7 and the S7 Edge was launched last year at 699 Euros and 799 Euros respectively, so if the pricing is right, then that would mean a 100 pound more for the S8 and S8+ this year. Do you think the price hike is justified? Let us know in the comments.

If you just took a look at the fake Galaxy S8 smartphones which have recently started selling online, then rest assured that this is not what you are seeing here. This leak is brought to you by SlashLeaks and from the looks of it, this is the real deal. The photos are high resolution and give us a clear look at both the S8 and the S8+, leaving nothing to the imagination for the official March 29 unboxng event.

On the front, the virtual Home button can be seen in the middle, which is now a part of the Always On display it seems. On the upper bezel, there's the iris scanner, the front camera, the LED notifications light, the ambient light sensor, the earpiece and a few other sensors as well. The Black Pearl color which is what we are seeing here seamlessly blends the curved display with the thin bezels making it look even more beautiful. At the bottom we get to look at the USB Type-C port, the 3.5mm jack and a speaker grill. On the top, there is of course the SIM tray and a secondary microphone. In my personal opinion, the S8 looks slightly more scrumptious this year. What do you think?

If you want the real thing, you will have to wait till the end of April to get your hands on one, but China already has something cheaper for you. We are not exactly sure how much this would cost, but it should be under $100. That's the price you will have to pay if you want your friends to be jealous of you for having the world's most anticipated phone that isn't even out yet! Of course the jealousy will only be temporary as a closer look will reveal the handset to be the fake it is.

If all of that got you interested, here's an unboxing video of the S8 clone, courtesy of EverythingApplePro on YouTube. We also have multiple images for you from SamMobile. While they are definitely not the same device the actual internals might just be similar. Take a look and decide for yourself.

The best thing about this phone is that in spite of being a knock off, it actually looks pretty good with that curved dsiplay! We are sure that the Quad HD 5.2-inch display isn't really true, along with the rest of the features that you will find printed out on the back of the box. But even then, this doesn't look like a cheap clone at all. If this leak got you excited for the original S8, you will just have to wait for three weeks now, because that's when (March 29) Samsung will officially unveil the S8 and the S8+. In the meanwhile, take a look at this leaked video which almost certainly shows the real thing.

Although previous rumors have been indicating that the Note 8 would have the codename "Baikal," a latest rumor apparently negates that name in favour of "Great." The news comes via the courtesy of SamMobile, although they have not revealed their sources. We must admit, codename "Great" sounds a bit too cheesy! Nevertheless, that's exactly what the latest rumor is predicting at this moment. Additionally, the model number of the upcoming "Great" Note was also confirmed to be SM-N950F, which is in consistence with what Evan Blass had leaked back in November 2016.

In other news, SamMobile also reports that against all odds, Samsung will indeed be re-launching the Galaxy Note 7 in South Korea, with a safe battery. The commercial name for the refurbished Note 7 will be "Grace R," where R stands for refurbished. The devices will most likely not make their way outside the home country and we are not sure if that's good news or bad news! Grace R will allegedly feature the model number SM-N935 and make use of some of the hardware left over from the defunct Note 7. Will you be buying a refurbished Note 7 if it was available near you?
