Courtesy of @onleaks and Android Authority, we can now look at leaked photos of the upcoming Note 7's front panel. As you can guess, we were most interested to see what the front panel reveals to us and delightfully, it reveals that the Note 7 will indeed sport the rumoured iris scanner that we have been hearing about for a while now. As @onleaks is usually dead accurate with their leaks, this is more news than rumor.

Additionally, the photos also confirm the 5.8-inch dual Edge display that rumors have been predicting for months now. This sits in perfectly with previous reports about the Galaxy Note 7, so it isn't really a surprise at this point. Another little detail that the leak reveals is that the Note 7 won't have enough space in the front to sport the Samsung logo like all Samsung smartphones have done in the past, on account of the three lenses required for the iris scanner to work. The South Korean OEM clearly wants to keep bezel space to a minimum, so this adjustment had to be made. Although the official unveiling date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is still more than a month away on the 2nd of August, rumors and leaks have already given away most of what to expect from the next Note. The latest leak even hints at a brand new "Coral Blue" variant that has not been seen on a Galaxy Note device yet. Most importantly though, two debated issues regarding the name of the next Note and the choice of display has now been resolved. The next Note will be called Note 7 instead of Note 6, even though it is the sixth iteration in the series. Also, there will be no flat screen variant of the Note 7 at release, but only one version with a curved/Edge display.

To top it all off, if there was any doubt in anyone's mind regarding the actual shape and form of the upcoming Note, it has been cleared by Olixar's online listings. Olixar has listed three NovaShield covers for the Galaxy Note 7 in Blue Leather, Carbon Fibre Gold and Red Leather. Interestingly enough, the listings clearly show the cases wrapped around a white Note 7 with a curve display and a S-Pen slot at the bottom right. Firstly, there's the news leaked by @evleaks which suggests that the upcoming Note 7 will sport a "Blue Coral" variant for the first time. More interestingly, @evleaks also confirmed that there will be an iris scanner on the Note 7, just as previous rumors had us believing for a long time.

Secondly, latest reports from China confirm a lot of the other hardware specifications that were expected to be a part of the Note 7. The next Note may indeed sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821/823 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and a choice of internal storage that may range in between 64GB - 256GB. Of course, there will also be an Exynos variant of the smartphone that will sport the Exynos 8893 SoC instead of the Qualcomm chip.

Other expected features that were confirmed by the leak include a 5.7-inch 1440p (QHD) Super AMOLED panel, a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-pixel phase detection, a 5-megapixel selfie cam, a SD-card slot and a fast charging battery with the capacity of 4,000mAh. Everything is expected to run smoothly on a fresh, minimalistic version of the TouchWiz UI, powered by Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 and not Android N, as rumoured previously. There's also the IP68 certification for water resistance and the first USB Type-C port from Samsung. Let's see how much of this matches up to the actual Galaxy Note 7 when it's released in August.

HDBlog has officially released a video which details a lot of the features that are going to be a part of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7's UI. There is also an accompanying article about it, if you wish to read. There will of course, be a lot of difference between what you see over here and what Samsung will finally be releasing on their next Note device when it comes out in August, but this leak gives us a nice little preview nonetheless.

From what we see and know so far, Samsung is planning for a clean and polished look this time around with the UI and it might be more straightforward in approach than what we are used to seeing from the OEM. There is also the possibility of a new messenger being included in the new software to rival the iMessage app on Apple products.

A piece of warning though, the video and the accompanying article are both in Italian, so there's that! Samsung may not only shift its headquarters from London, but it may just leave the United Kingdom altogether. As you can probably guess, if this happens, it would be a direct result of the UK leaving the European Union (aka Brexit). Of course, Europe as a market has not lately been as profitable as it used to be for Samsung. In the year 2013, Samsung boasted of a 21% share in the total mobile sales number throughout the entire continent. Things however, went downhill from there as that share stands at only 12.8% right now. Samsung also did not release the Galaxy Note 5 in Europe last year and had stopped selling cameras, camcorders and associated accessories in there altogether.

It is evident that Samsung isn't exactly making any headway in Europe to speak of, but couple that with the fact that Britain may now impose heavier import taxes on them and the decision to leave the UK starts to seem like an inevitable course for the Korean company. As the United Kingdom will no longer have to follow the tariff regulations and import duty models laid out by the Union, the general consensus is that taxes will now increase for all foreign companies operating within the nation.
