The Galaxy A9 Pro is supposedly an upcoming smartphone from Samsung, which will sport a supersized Quad High Definition display. According to Sam Mobile, it will be an upgraded version of the Galaxy A9; that is already rocking the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset. The A9 Pro will allegedly have the model number SM-A9100, which seems logical as the recently released A9 had the model number SM-A9000. If you consider the fact that the A9 already has a huge display which measures at 6-inches, anything larger could simply be too large to be called a phone for most people.

The A9 is still running on Lollipop, but speculations about the A9 Pro indicate that it could be loaded with Android 6.0 marshmallow, out of the box. If you are wondering as to why none of your local or online retailers are selling even the Galaxy A9 yet, then rest assured that so far, it is only being released and sold in China for about $490 - $500. Reports from Sam Mobile indicate that the A9 Pro will also be released in China first, if it really is in the making of course! We will keep you posted on the latest news regarding the A9 Pro's specs and release dates in different geographical locations, as soon as more news comes in.

Zauba, a website that tracks import and export of phones to India, has released some info related to SamSung's latest imports. As the new phones are imported in relatively lesser number for testing, it has become helpful in revealing the specifications of the devices. The model numbers of the two smartphones imported into India are actually Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930R4) and the S7 Edge (SM-G935R4).

The listing also shows that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be featuring a 5.1-inch screen and the Galaxy Edge will come with a bit larger 5.5-inch screen. This is in sync with the specifications that were revealed in the AnTuTu benchmark test. It is expected that the screen will have QHD resolution. The Zauba listing identified first by NapiDroid confirms that the two devices of both the variants have been shipped to the country for testing with hidden IMEI number.

The Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge will cost around $351 and as these units are for testing, the prices actually don't point to anything concrete. These new smartphones where last spied in the AnTuTu benchmark tests and it is still not confirmed whether Samsung would power these devices with Snapdragon 820 or use the in-house Exynos.

It is quite possible that Samsung might use both of the SoCs in different variants, just like the way it was done in the Galaxy S5. Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge on February 21st at the time of Samsung Unpacked 2016 scheduled at MWC in Barcelona. Rumors say that Samsung is planning to ramp up the camera along with some of its inner parts but as far design goes we should expect bare minimum changes.

The SM-G935A had already been seen in the AnTuTu benchmarks, and it was the Snapdragon 820 powered version of the upcoming Galaxy S7. A few hours earlier however, a new report has come in about the SM-G930F, which is the S7 with the mysterious Exynos 8890 processor inside. Apparently, AnTuTu has leaked the specifications of the S7 with Exynos 8890 on Weibo, a very popular Chinese social networking website.

As expected, the specifications in the SM-G930F do not deviate much from that of the SM-G935A. The Exynos model will have the same 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, 12 megapixel Britecell camera sensor on the back, 5 megapixel selfie cam on the front and 64GB of internal storage (as made evident by AnTuTu on this particular model), that we saw with the SM-G935A.

The good news is that all versions of the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come loaded with Android M 6.0 out of the box. If you are eager to know the AnTuTu benchmark scores then you will have to wait a little longer as the S7 is still in its testing phase. Nonetheless, we are pretty sure that we will see the scores on their list very soon.

Samsung has recently released an application on the Play Store named Wi-Fi Transfer. As far as functionality is concerned, the name itself is quite self-explanatory as it allows users to transfer various files via Wi-Fi without utilizing an active internet connection. One of the two devices is used to setup a Wi-Fi tethering connection, while the other one connects to the first device through the temporary Wi-Fi network.

The technology itself can be used to transfer files between any two smartphones running on Android. However, since Wi-Fi Transfer is an app by Samsung, the only handsets that are able to use the application right now are the ones made by Samsung.

The Play Store already has a good number of apps that allow the same facilities and most of them are compatible with the majority of Android devices. We are not sure what the exact purpose of this application was, but Samsung certainly seems to think that it was needed. The list of compatible smartphones even in the roster of Samsung is unfortunately on the lower side and several bugs have been reported. As it is a newly released application, we are sure that things will get better with each update.

A feature that was introduced by HTC's own Zoe Cam and made popular by the iphone 6s via Live Photos, is now going to be adopted by Samsung's upcoming flagship. The basic technology works by bringing a photo alive with the help of a video that captures footage from both before and after the shot, but spans no more than 1-2 seconds. The process results in an animated snap with audio.

If the rumors are to believed, then Samsung will call their version of the feature, "Vivid Photo." However, it won't work exactly like the iPhone 6s' Live Photo feature because the snaps won't have any audio accompanying them. That being said, Samsung is not the one to lose out in a battle of features so Vivid Photo will supposedly stitch together photos of much higher quality when compared to the ones produced by the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

The obvious question that comes next is why did Samsung ditch the audio? Samsung wanted Vivid Photo to be a feature that can be shared via messaging and social networking sites, rather than being a proprietary end-to-end affair. In other words, the Samsung Galaxy S7 probably has come up with a feature that will allow you to create high quality GIF images fit for easy sharing and enjoying on most systems and devices.
