Moto 360

The semi-circular LCD on the Moto 360 seems to be having a problem with image retention. A couple of users have reported their Moto 360 continues to show the circular charging bar on the screen even after you stop charging (as you can see on the image above).

Certain LCDs are occasionally prone to image retention or persistence issue, wherein if an image is displayed on the screen continuously for too long it gets stuck on the screen for a while and is visible even if you go to another screen. This is different from image burn-in that happens on AMOLED panels, where the pixels are permanently transformed and it's temporary on LCD but it's still annoying to see the previous image faintly on the screen even after you move to the next one.

LG G Watch R

LG's round-faced smartwatch running Android Wear, the G Watch R, is due to become available on October,14th. The news reportedly comes straight from the Korean company itself.

LG hasn't yet officially announced pricing for the G Watch R internationally. However, the press release unveiling the new watch for the German market mentioned a recommended retail price of €299.

That will probably translate into $299 over in the US, as mobile devices and accessories usually cost the same amount in both euros and dollars. Today LG has once again shied away from saying anything specific, but "a company spokesman" did confirm that it would be more expensive than the already available G Watch.

Motorola's latest promo video for the Moto 360 smartwatch is meant to explain why this new smart device has taken the form of a watch. The answer comes from the Product Lead for the Moto 360 Lior Ron and his belief that the watch was the most personal piece of technology and a self-expression on a wrist.

The video also addresses the round shape as magical, super comfortable and allowing for a larger display. What it doesn't address is when eager users will be able to get their hands on one or better yet one on their wrists. Watch the video below.
