Microsoft has purchased gaming company Mojang, the creators of Minecraft, for the cool $2.5 billion. The company shares that its partnership with the game maker began when the two discussed the Xbox One version of the game.

 

Since Minecraft's launch in 2009, it has been downloaded by more than 100 million users. As Xbox boss Phil Spencer states, Microsoft will continue to make Minecraft available across non-PC and Xbox platforms, such as iOS, Android and PlayStation.

"Minecraft quickly became the top online game on Xbox Live, with over two billion hours played on Xbox 360 in the last two years. That working relationship set the ground work for other opportunities," he added.

 

Minecraft creator Markus Notch Persson allegedly doesn't want to deal with such a large and global project that Minecraft has become for the past 5 years. That's one of the reasons he, as the majority stakeholder of the company, wanted to sell it. The rest of the co-makers of the game, Carl, and Jakob, are also leaving the company.

Last Monday, As a surprise Acer has announced a new product accessories that brings the selfie tech to a ridiculous new level. The company introduced a never-seen-before "Selfie Hat".

 

This latest weird development in selfie tech is basically a giant sombrero and holds an Iconia A-1 840 tablet held by the hat's fold-down flap. The tablet is located on the hat in such a way that allows the wearer to slide it around the brim for the ideal selfie.

Even more alarming, there was actual thought put into the "couture" aesthetic of it. It was designed in collaboration with fashion designer Christian Cowan-Sanluis and Acer UK.

LG G Flex

 

Last year's LG G Flex didn't exactly take the world by storm. Although featuring a unique curved display, the high price and the massive size were reason enough for most people to stay away from it.


But LG will be announcing a second generation model later this year. According to an unnamed LG executive in India, the second generation G Flex aka G Flex 2 will be smaller than the first one and will feature a "better than Full HD" display. The first model had a 6.0-inch, 720p display.


The phone will launch in Korea first later this year, followed by other markets like US and India.
