At the MWC 2015, HTC has just officially announced its 2015 flagship, HTC One M9, with a new refined design that features a Dual-tone Metal Unibody, scratch-resistant coating and sapphire glass on the camera lens.

 

HTC One M9 comes with refined design with less part count, dual anodization, and scratch-resistant coating and sapphire glass on the camera lens. While it looks a lot like the One (M8), the new One M9 design is more minimalistic and the smartphone is lighter and smaller. It has a single-part front bezel, new placement for the Power/Lock key, an improved volume rocker, and brand new color options.

 

 

HTC One M9 packs a 5" 1080p display the same unit from One (M8) Super LCD3 with minor improvements on the technology and color rendering. The highlight of the front are the traditional BoomSound stereo speakers, now improved further by 5.1 Dolby surround Sound.

The One M9 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 platform - an octa-core 64-bit processor with four Cortex-A57 cores at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A53 working at 1.5GHz. The new Adreno 430 is responsible for the graphics, while the 3GB RAM will help with the multi-tasking.

 

 

HTC One M9 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop enhanced with the new HTC Sense 7 UI. HTC Blinkfeed is a major part of the new Sense and now content from the aggregator will be displayed on the lockscreen as well. The updated service also uses location specific suggestions, thanks to a new partnership with Yelp, and will be able to gives you various tips for nearby restaurants.

The entire concept of HTC Sense has changed and now the launcher supports themes, which will be able to change its looks completely backgrounds, colors, icons, even the keyboard. There will be a theme generator, which will support automatic theme generation by inputting just a single image.

Google has released a new update for the YouTube app for Android devices with a capability to trim videos before uploading to YouTube.

 

Select a video from the phone using the YouTube app and it will show you the new trimming interface. With that, the users can simply tap and swipe the scroll switch to choose an exact frame.

 

With new scroll switches you can now select the precise frames as start and end of the video. Not only that, you can also watch the video preview of your trimmed video before uploading it to YouTube.

Researchers of the 5G network reaches a Record-breaking speeds at the test site, which is the University of Surrey's 5G Innovation Center (5GIC). The Network was able to reach the speed of 1 Terabytes per second (1Tbps) which is technically the same data capacity of a fibreoptic cable but wirelessly. This is a big break-thought in the wireless technology.

 

 

It will take years to see a fully functional 5G Networks available for public use (probably by 2018) and even some more years to see a Smartphone with a 5G chip that can handle this speed probably by (2020).

LG Optimus G Pro is about two years old, but still LG updated the phone to the latest Android 5.0. Lollipop update. The update is now officially available in South Korea, LG's home country, so we hope that Optimus G Pro owners in other parts of the world will also get the new OS at some point.

 

At launch, the Optimus G Pro ran Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This is LG's last flagship handset to use the "Optimus" brand, while also being the company's first phablet to sport a 1080 x 1920 pixels display (measuring 5.5 inches).

After HTC, Samsung, LG and Moto... Google is rumored to be in talks with a Chinese phone maker for the next generation Nexus smartphone. According to leaked sources, this company is Huawei.

 

 

Some mockups of a Huawei-made Nexus has been leaked. The mockups are based on the Huawei Honor 6 Plus with a Nexus branding. These photos are not the real deal, but give us a glimpse of how a Huawei-made Nexus device could look like.
