Apple OLED

A high-ranking source with a major electronics retailer has told TechnoBuffalo to expect the long-rumored Apple TV set this April, or possibly May at the latest. Speaking on conditions of anonymity, the source said they have seen "gorgeous, very thin" pre-production versions of the set in person, and that they employ OLED panels at various sizes up to 42-inches. If true, Apple set will debut as the largest OLED based HDTV on the consumer market. LG and Samsung debuted 55-inch OLED sets at CES earlier this month, but neither is set to launch as soon as April.

Apple TV

While there is no info if the set will be running its own version of iOS, we do know that will have deep integration with devices based on the popular operating system. The set will also sport Siri style voice controls as well as facial recognition software, and plans for the TV voice control system are said to far exceed what's currently in use on the iPhone 4S.

The MWC is coming by the end of next Month where we expect the announcement of the next Samsung flagship. The Galaxy S III, but if those latest rumors are to be believed.

The rumors come from Eldar Murtazin, who has not had the most accurate series of predictions lately, but who we are willing to believe now as he claims he has played with the smartphone already. So, according to the Russian, the Samsung Galaxy S III will indeed be unveiled at the MWC and will go on sale in April, exactly a year after its predecessor.

Twitter

The Samsung Galaxy S III will, come with an HD resolution screen, a 12 megapixel camera and a quad-core CPU, running at 1.5-1.6 GHz. The beast will be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and, according to Mr. Murtazin its two extra cores will be more than just PR materials the smartphone feels really fast.

Storage Spaces Manager

Microsoft has posted to its Building Windows 8 blog details on the next-gen platform new Storage Spaces feature. Storage Spaces continues the Drive Extender concept from Windows Home Server, allowing the system to pool physical hard drives of various sizes and interfaces to redundantly store data for scale, resiliency, and efficiency.

Storage Spaces

The system works like a RAID setup but the physical hard drives are grouped into a larger storage pool, which is then split up into spaces. The disks in a pool can be of mismatched sizes and of different interface technologies, such as USB, SATA, and Serial Attached SCSI. New disks can be added anytime while others can be connected but kept on standby only to turn on when needed.

Storage Spaces

The spaces are virtual disks that function like the physical disks but has more powerful capabilities to ensure redundancy. At least two copies of all data within a space are stored on at least two different physical drives.

Today, YouMobile.Org has just received the Official Photos of the Galaxy Nexus White (photos below), It looks like only the back and sides of the device will be covered with White but the front will stay black in order to make the panel looks the same as the original Galaxy Nexus which is awesome.

Nokia Lumia 900

According to the latest bit of online rumors, the Nokia Lumia 900 will hit the ATT shelves on March,18th and will cost 99.99 USD. This price tag on a two-year contract does look cheap so if it is true, Nokia will obviously market the Lumia 900 quite aggressively.

Nokia Lumia N900 has a 4.3 inches of non-PenTile AMOLED WVGA and a 1.4 GHz Scorpion CPU, which is about as fast as it gets on the Microsoft platform. Given that WP is still in no position to challenge the big guys just yet, pricing the Nokia flagship lower than the Android and iOS top-dogs seems like a reasonable move on the AT&T side.

Samsung

The Samsung Galaxy S III is certainly the most anticipated device of this whole year. Samsung 2012 flagship has now allegedly been confirmed to launch as early as April, soon after its official announcement which is yet to come. ZDNet Korea reports about the launch date after it spoke with Cheil Worldwide, Samsung marketing and ad agency, which is preparing the device for the market in the UK.

Now, it looks like ZDNet refers to the official arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S III to shelves in April, at least in the first markets of availability. We are not yet clear about when the device will arrive stateside, but we expect it to be later on in the year.

Galaxy S III Expected Design

Galaxy S III Expected Specs

Samsung Galaxy S III will feature a huge 4.8-inch display with a stunning 1080p resolution (even higher ppi than a retina Display). It is expected to be powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Samsung Exynos processor, an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel shooter up front. Of course, it will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and feature LTE. Design will also evolve with neat ceramic casing.
