Samsung is still working on its official Jelly Bean updates, but XDA-developers members have been quite busy porting the latest Android distribution to various smartphones and already have quite a lot to show for their efforts.
The most recent achievement of the dev community is quite impressive though. The Samsung Galaxy Ace and Samsung Galaxy Gio two smartphones based on the older-gen ARMv6 CPU got CM10 ports, which will certainly be their only chance of tasting Jelly Bean 4.1.

Froyo Proto-type Below!
First thing I would like to address the poeple who like to comment on everything New by typing "FAKE!"... This photo is just a concept and NOT REAL device.
This Galaxy Nexus 2 concept was designed by Killu-Chan, and shows a Samsung-made Nexus phone that would feature a 5" display at 720p resolution covered in Gorilla Glass 2. Inside, the concept calls for 32GB of storage, 42Mbps HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 with MHL and USB on the go. The ridiculous part is that the concept also suggest an 8GB of RAM, which is impossible because if that's really an expected feature of the designer, we may just have to throw out the entire idea. Rounding out the internals would be a 2GHz quad-core Tegra 3+ and a 3200 mAh battery.
As far as cameras, there would be a 2MP front-facing camera, and a 12MP rear camera. Also on the back would be an LED flash, and in addition to the current set of camera features, the designer is calling for simultaneous HD video and image recording.

The Android version of the popular Skype app was first launched only a couple of months ago and now we can welcome its first major update which makes Skype for Android fully compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S devices out there and allows you to store the app on the device SD card.
The recently updated Skype app for Android-powered devices brings along only two improvements but those are definitely worth mentioning. First off, if your smartphone or tablet is based on the Froyo, you will be able to store the app on your microSD memory card. As for the other novelty brought by the refreshed Skype app, the version released back on 5 October had some issues with Samsung Galaxy S smartphones but those should now be done with.
There is a tiny little catch, the latest version of the Android-Skype will only be compatible with your Galaxy S if its running the Android 2.2 froyo.
You can now:
- Use the app on your Samsung Galaxy S, as long as its running Android OS 2.2 or later.
- Store the app on your phone SD card if its running Android OS 2.2 or later.
If you store the app on your SD card, the data Skype uses while the app is running is still stored on the internal memory of your phone. We expect this to take up around 15MB of space for most people.

Samsung Galaxy Note tabphone is headed stateside to join ATT lineup, these press shots should probably put them to rest. Going by model number SGH-I717, ATT version of the Gingerbread-powered Note likely to be revealed in a few short days at CES will reportedly maintain the class-leading 5.3-inch, 1280x800 Super AMOLED display and 1.4GHz dual-core Exynos processor that have made it unusually popular overseas but swap in a dual-core Snapdragon for LTE compatibility.
We are also expecting another high definition, LTE-capable handset from Samsung to hit AT&T in the near future, the SGH-i957 Celox HD.

A Render-photo appeared from the Tizen SDK by Sammobile shows an unannounced device that rumored to be the Upcoming Samsung GT-I9500 (Picture above).
The device seems to have a metal border with metal buttons and it seems that this device is the same size as the Galaxy S2. Also the home button apparently needed replacing, instead of the rectangular shape it is a square shape now.
One thing is certain it support a front-facing camera and it has a large speaker on the front. And it looks like that device will have a shutter button aswell.
There is a brand new Galaxy Tab in town, this one created in Germany with a new form factor that does a bit of like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N fom last year. But, it does have the long awaited forward-facing speaker upgrade, this being the biggest change between it and its 7.0 non-N edition. Inside you will be getting Android 3.2 Honeycomb right out of the box with Ice Cream Sandwich update coming very soon.
This device has a 7-inch PLS-LCD display at WSVGA resolution, that being 1024 x 600 pixels with 169.6 pixels per inch. The Galaxy Tab 7.0N weighs in at 345g, has 16GB of internal memory, and has a microSDHC slot to expand memory by up to 32GB. The battery inside this device is a massive 4000mAh, Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS, GSM and HSPA.
T-Mobile and Samsung just unveiled the Galaxy S Blaze 4G with a dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz, Super AMOLED first generation display and HSPA+ 42 Mbps downlink speeds.
Known specs shows that the Blaze 4G will be basically a Galaxy S with an upgraded processor and 4G speeds.
White versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus emerged in Vietnam. Okay, there have been white versions around for a while, but these new ones are all white.
The currently available Black and White versions differ only by the color of the back the front has a black bezel around the screen in both of them. Apparently, Samsung has been working on a white bezel for the White version as these photos show.

In an official Samsung video used in their press conference at the event, The Galaxy S III makes a brief appearance, and it carries visible changes from the galaxy S II.
The most noticeable difference is how thin the bezel is much thinner than the one on the S II. We have rumors confirms that the S III will have a next-gen Super AMOLED screen with a 4.6-inch diagonal, which would fit in the frame of the Galaxy S II if Samsung shaves down the bezel. We are still waiting an official Release from Samsung which is probably will be during the MWC2012.

The Galaxy S III Appears on 7:11
The Samsung Galaxy Note is the latest HIT for Samsung, Its a phone and a Tablet in one device, According to Daryl Deino, Los Angeles Industry analyst, confirms that this device will certainly come to both Sprint and Verizon. He goes on to mention that it will possibly be named the Samsung Galaxy Journal.
There is also the fact that there is no CDMA version of the Galaxy Note. It is definitely not impossible to make one, though, and it has been done before. Verizon has mentioned that smartphones will only be released with 4G LTE connectivity from now on. If this rumor happens to be true, we might be able to rock the Galaxy Note on Verizon 4G LTE network.
An ad spotted on UK retailer Mobicity website lists an upcoming release of what is most likely aGalaxy S II HD LTE, except without the LTE designation.
For those of you unfamiliar with the HD version of the Galaxy S II, the main improvement is, you guessed it, a bigger screen 4.65in@720x1280px to be exact. It also features an upgraded 1.5GHz processor, and a more robust 1850 mAh Li-Ion battery.
Samsung launched a new software update for its big Galaxy Note smartphone. Unfortunately this firmware version does not bring Ice Cream Sandwich rather it comes with a number of tweaks that overall improve the phone capability.
Update Change-log:
- Keyboard now has five rows with the number row being always visible. Moreover, there is a new "one hand" mode that shrinks the layout, making it easier to type with one hand only.
- Preinstalled torch widget that supports three different brightness levels you cycle through them by continuously tapping the widget.
- Ability to set different brightness level for the browser, saving you some battery juice along the way.
- Improved lockscreen with arrows around the padlock, encouraging you to swipe to unlock. A line of text telling you what to do has also been added.
- Calendar app now supports different date formats. If you are not born in Europe you are probably not used to the day/month/year format, so you may want to change that.
The MWC is coming by the end of next Month where we expect the announcement of the next Samsung flagship. The Galaxy S III, but if those latest rumors are to be believed.
The rumors come from Eldar Murtazin, who has not had the most accurate series of predictions lately, but who we are willing to believe now as he claims he has played with the smartphone already. So, according to the Russian, the Samsung Galaxy S III will indeed be unveiled at the MWC and will go on sale in April, exactly a year after its predecessor.
The Samsung Galaxy S III will, come with an HD resolution screen, a 12 megapixel camera and a quad-core CPU, running at 1.5-1.6 GHz. The beast will be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and, according to Mr. Murtazin its two extra cores will be more than just PR materials the smartphone feels really fast.
Those of you that are eager to take Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for a spin on their Samsung Galaxy S II just got another option. In addition to flashing the leaked Samsung beta ICS ROM, you can now try the ICS-based latest version of the MIUI ROM.
The unofficial release is said to be quite stable and ready to do the job as your everyday ROM. Of course, MIUI comes with a heavily customized interface, so if you are a fan of the stock ICS looks you probably do not need to bother with this one.
Changelog:
- Based off MIUI Android v2.1.20 and CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 01172012 build
- KP9 Kernel - Due to data issues with later versions
- Camera from CyanogenMod Supports 8MP
- Fixed External SD not being read, now both Music app and Storage in Settings read it
- Added some build.prop tweaks
- Fixed Storage view Now shows both internal and external SD Card
- SQLite3 upgraded to latest version
- Added TitaniumBackup v4.7.5
Samsung has provided detailed descriptions of all the important Galaxy Note functional elements. You should keep in mind that what we have here is the US version of the Note, featuring a Qualcomm chipset and LTE, instead of Exynos and HSPA+.
1. S Pen
Here’s the Galaxy Note breakdown, as provided by Samsung:
What would the GALAXY Note be without the S Pen? Still a pretty awesome phone, but that’s not the point.
The S-Pen uses electromagnetic induction technology and has pressure sensitivity equal to a regular pen. Your input on the screen varies with the amount of pressure you put, making it a seamless re-creation of writing with an actual pen.
2. OCTA (On-Cell TSP AMOLED)
The 5.29 HD Super-AMOLED display (1280×800) is combined with the Touchscreen panel (TSP).
3. Digitizer
The digitizer interacts with the S-Pen to sense the pen-tip’s location and the amount of pressure. By establishing an electromagnetic field, it blocks the noise and magnetism through the shield plate.
4. Bracket
The bracket is like the Note’s backbone, holding together all the custom parts to maximize space efficiency.
5. Main PCB
With over 1000 different parts included in the mainboard, it fully utilizes Samsung’s integration technology.
5-1 (Front)
Acceleration Sensor – Detects the tilting motion of the Note, whether you’re turning it sideways for a widescreen view or turning it to play games.
Gyro Sensor – Detects the up, down and sideways motion of the phone.
Proximity Sensor – Detects when a detectable object comes close to the phone. Prevents unwanted input during calls or other situations.
Light Sensor – Detects the brightness, used to adjust the screen brightness accordingly.
Bluetooth/Wi-Fi – With BT 3.0 + HS support, allows for fast transmission between mobile devices.
NFC – Can used for close-distance communication, allowing users to use the phone like a credit card or transportation card.
WACOM IC – Used to actualize the S Pen’s movement and use.
MISC – Front Facing Camera, DMB, GPS5-2 (Back)
Internal Memory – 6/3GB of memory for storing lots of data including videos, music, etc.
LTE Modem Chip – The latest in communication technology, widely known as 4G.
1.5GHz Dual Core AP Chip – Twice the processing power with a dual core chip.
Misc – Back facing camera (with flash).6. Rear case
The area that stores a variety of antennae and wires.
7. Battery Cover
The battery cover also stores the NFC antenna.
It is needless to say that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III is one of the most anticipated Android devices, which are going to break cover this year one of the brightest stars of the MWC which is set to kick off next month in Barcelona.
According to a fresh new rumor, the yet to be revealed samsung flagship might break cover after MWC, but before the summer. The reason for this shocker is the company consideration for the U.S. market one of its most important ones. Apparently, Samsung wants to avoid a huge gap of availability as in the case of the Galaxy S II last year.
The Galaxy S III is a device that will be popping up some time inside 2012, and today information leads us to believe that it will be sooner than later: a clue at Samsung own Global Download Center support site, no less. Here we can see inside the Mobile Device and Smart Phone categories a brand new Product Model Name: GT-I9300, a model that is a grade above the rest. Here will find the next Samsung handset that will break down the walls previously set up by the Galaxy S II last year and the Galaxy S before that.
Not only the GT-I9300 shows up today but also the Samsung GT-I9800, This code showed up at samsung WIFI-devices certifications.
Samsung today announced its record fourth quarter earnings, in which it saw operating profits of 5.3 trillion won (around $4.7 billion) on revenues of 47.3 trillion won (around $42 billion).
That is a decent jump over last year, when it reported earnings of 3 trillion won (about $2.6 billion) on 41.8 trillion won (about $36.5 billion) in revenue.
Samsung is Working on an Advanced version of the Galaxy S, the Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070. It has a higher specs than the Original Galaxy S I9000 but lower than the Galaxy S II I9100. Seems like samsung want to make a version of the Galaxy S that can run ICS onboard and the Galaxy S Advance is the solution.
Galaxy S Advance Specifications
In addition to the new slim-looking design (as you can see on the photo above), the phone is said to have a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA (800×480) display, a 5MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, 1500mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom, It currently running Android 2.3.6 but it will surely get the ICS 4.0.3 Update according to its high specs.
Samsung may reveal this device during MWC 2012 Next month.

Samsung Galaxy Note LTE will hit stores from February 19 priced at 299.99 USD with a new, two year agreement, the carrier has announced, though online pre-order customers can get the LTE smartphone up to two days early. Officially launched at CES earlier this month, the AT&T Galaxy Note keeps the 5.3-inch 1280 x 800 Super AMOLED HD display and digital stylus of its GSM counterpart, but throws in 4G networking.
THe device packed an 8-megapixel main camera with 1080p Full HD video recording, and a front-facing camera for video calls. Inside lurks Qualcomm dual-core Snapdragon 1.5GHz processor along with HSPA+ for when you are outside of AT&T growing LTE network, plus WiFi b/g/n and GPS.
Today Samsung and the Swedish audio brand Jays announced their collaboration. This collaboration is entirely focused on headsets for MP3 players and especially for smartphones. Samsung headsets are not that good so this is a step in the good direction. This Integration will lead to better Audio Experience on the Upcoming Samsung Galaxy-Family smartphones for this year.
It is not New, HTC and Nokia are doing business already with headset makers like Monster and Beats audio . The test with the Jays headsets is currently only for the Korean market. If the test turn out good, maybe other markets will follow.
This time, The teaser is an assortment of clips from the previous spot, which showed Apple fan boys and girls lining up, waiting anxiously and getting generally quite obsessed with the newest, latest Apple gadget. In the previous ad, they figured out that Samsung phones already are the next best thing. In this one, something similar is probably going to happen except this time, the focus will be on the Samsung Galaxy which will be relesd on AT&T carrier by Feburary,19th.
Video Below!
AT&T will begin to take pre-orders today for the Samsung Galaxy Note, the 5.3-inch phablet will be sold in carbon blue or ceramic white, and check in at 299 USD with a new agreement. Orders are set to be delivered by Feb. 17, just a bit too late for Valentine Day. Also scheduled to be in stores some accessories, notably a desktop docking station, a spare battery charger, and a flip cover case and pen holder. Speaking of the flip cover, if you head into Best Buy and pre-order your Samsung Galaxy Note they will hook you up with one for free.
The Note is big. It is huge as a phone, but has enough size to it that it could function as a tablet for many. The lure of carrying one device to cover both use cases is bound to attract quite a few folks, and the fact that LTE data is built into the unit is certainly a big plus.
AT&T Version Specs
The specs are certainly no slouch either. That 5.3-inch Super AMOLED screen has a 1280x800 HD resolution, there is a 1.5GHZ dual-core processor, a 2500mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, and Samsung is excellent 8MP camera all running Android 2.3.5.
The new Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus comes in at a reasonable 249.99 Pound in the UK according to mobile retailer, Expansys. As such we are anticipating a free device on contracts around the 15 pound per-month mark and upwards once carriers release their plans for the Plus.
The Ace Plus is running Android Gingerbread 2.3 with Samsung TouchWiz UI on top. Hardware sees a 3.65" HVGA display, WiFi, Bluetooth, HSDPA support and all the usual connectivity options we have come to expect from a mid-range droid. The Ace Plus is powered by a 1GHz S1 Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 200 GPU, there is also a 1300mAh battery and a usable 5MP snapper on the back.
Samsung will be launching a New color for its Galaxy Note, The Galaxy Note Pink. Sadly, This Pink version will miss the Valentine day as its coming by Mid-Early March, The specifications will be the same 5.3 inch Super Amoled HD screen and 1.4 Ghz processor. It will be available in 16 and 32 Gb.
Galaxy Note pink, will have Android 2.3.4 but it will be updated to ICS soon. In case you forgot the Galaxy Note specs, it has a 8 megapixel primary camera, a front-facing webcam, 1080p HD video functionality, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and a 2500mAh battery.
Samsung has officially announce their first tablet running the latest Android OS. The Galaxy Tab 2 runs Android ICS 4.0 and it is similar to the original Galaxy Tab but with faster hardware.
The Galaxy Tab 2 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM and features a 7-inch WSVGA display (1024×600) PLS TFT LCD, Wi-Fi, 3MP rear-facing fixed focus camera, VGA camera on the front, HSPA+ support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, 8 or 16 or 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 4,000mAh battery.

However, you can rest assured that the slates will launch with ICS out of the box.
We know that Samsung delayed the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), but Samsung decided to release them by the ned of this Month in the UK, before the duo released to the other markets.
Samsung spokesman blamed the delay on the need to make Android 4.0 run more smoothly on each tablet.
Office Depot is apparently able to see the future. As Samsung is getting ready for the Unpacked 2012 event to announce the Next Galaxy flagship smartphone, A yet unannounced Samsung device, carrying the product number I9800 just got Wi-Fi certification.
The highly-anticipated Samsung flagship briefly flexed its GPU muscle in a GLBenchmark test by the name I9300 and now things are really getting interesting with the addition of the I9800 to the mix. Looks like Samsung will show a range of new GALAXY products on the Unpckaed event.
Samsung annouced the GALAXY Note 10.1 at the MWC this year but the tablet didn't officially released as samsung wanted to change its specifications, Check the old Specifications of the Galaxy Note 10.1.
The score of 61.4 megapixels per second beats the Galaxy S III by a huge margin, indicating a new graphics processor. Since the chipset in the Galaxy Note 10.1 is listed as the same Exynos 4412 Quad-core 1.4GHz CPU we have in the latest Galaxy phone, then the graphics processor must be the next generation Mali T-604, not the Mali-400 in the Galaxy S II and S III.
We thought that Mali T-604 will only be coming with the Exynos 5 series of chips, but apparently Samsung might be testing other combinations, if this benchmark scale is true. The T-604 is about 5x the Mali-400 performance, So we can expect an HD display on the Galaxy Note 10.1, May be 1920 x 1080 reolution or even more.

As to the Samsung Galaxy Beam itself, it definitely takes the highlight with its 15-lumen built-in pico projector, spreading out the lumens into a 50-inch picture with a resolution of 640x360 pixels. The phone manages to still remain not too thick with its 0.49-inch (12.5mm) body. Aslo, it packs the usual dual-core 1GHz processor and both a 5MP rear camera and front-facing snapper.
Samsung is doing pretty well these days and the company's new CEO vowed to address some of its weaker spots in his inaugural speech. "A particular focus must be given to serving new customer experience and value by strengthening soft capabilities in software, user experience, design, and solutions," said Kwon Oh-hyun.
What rose Samsung to Android prominence and gave it the title of the world's largest phone maker, was the edge in hardware components of its own make like processors, screens and memory. When it comes to industrial design and user interfaces, things can be improved, and that is precisely what the new CEO will be targeting.
Well, This may be a surprise, but the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet might actually work as a cell phone too. As in a cell phone that you can insert a SIM card in and use to make calls. Evidence in support of this rumor comes from a Galaxy Note 10.1 hands-on video posted below.
In the Video they doesn't make any phone calls for the duration of the video. However, they bring up an application called "Teléfono" (Spanish for "phone"), which seems to be a working dialer. The tablet is branded for the Mexican carrier Telcel, which is why the interface language is set to Spanish.
The original Samsung Galaxy Note was a big hit for Samsung, We already got the Concept Photo of the Galaxy Note II and its Specifications too. Now we got the release date, The Next Samsung Galaxy Note is coming this Fall around October,2012 just in time of Apple's iPhone 5 announcement.
The Note II, if it will be called that, will supposedly feature a quad-core Exynos processor, 12 MP camera, and better battery life. The build quality will also allegedly be improved, thanks to a rumored unbreakable plane (UBP) display, a precursor to Samsung's YOUM flexible display technology.
The T-Mobile version of the Samsung Galaxy Note is Now Official, The carrier announced that it will bring this smartphone-tablet to its customers this Month.
T-Mobile Galaxy Note won't support LTE Networks, but it still comes with a Qualcomm S3 chipset, instead of the Exynos 4210 used in the international version. The flip side is that this Samsung Galaxy Note gains support for what T-Mo call 4G with 42Mbps HSPA, while the Note N7000 network support is limited to 21 Mbps.

Galaxy Reverb feature a 4" WVGA (400 x 800) screen, 768 MB worth of RAM and a 5 MP camera on the back with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Under the hood is where things are different the Reverb is reportedly powered by a single-core 1.4GHz processor, while the Jasper has a high-end dual-core Krait processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz.
T-Mobile US and Samsung Mobile announced that the Galaxy Note will launch on all retailers and will be available starting from August,8 on all Us stores. The price will be $249.99 on a 2-year contract.
Samsung Galaxy Note for T-Mobile has a 42Mbps HSPA+ connectivity instead of the LTE-support, along with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 CPU, clocked at 1.5GHz, 5.3" Super AMOLED display, 8MP camera, and 16GB of built-in memory.
The Galaxy S Duos looks just like the Samsung Galaxy S III, but with lower Specifications and hardware Quality to keep the price down.
Its screen will be smaller, at 4" rather than 4.8" and with a resolution of 480x800 pixels. Also it has Dual-SIM slot to run on 2 carriers at the same time.
The device run Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is great for a mid-range phone, powered by a single-core 1Ghz CPU and 512MB of RAM. Samsung Focused on the appearance of this device, to make it look closer to the Galaxy S3 but with an affordable price.
One of the more consistent rumors is that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Tab 11.6 Android ICS tablet.
The name suggests a 11.6-inch screen, but according to the rumors the tablet itself will not be much larger than the Tab 10.1. The screen will supposedly have a whopping WQXGA resolution (2560×1600).
If this is true, the Tab 11.6 will have 260ppi pixel density, which would be amazing for a tablet. Samsung have already shown a 10.1-inch WQXGA screen, so 11.6-inch WQXGA is right up their alley and will be competitive to the rumored high-res iPad 3. The new Exynos 5250 chipset supports just that resolution too. The chipset packs two Cortex-A15 cores running at 2.0GHz.
Verizon has officially confirmed it will be offering an LTE version of Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet, the Super AMOLED Plus slate first unveiled back at IFA 2011. Running a 1.4GHz dual-core processor that drives a 1280 x 800 display and Android 3.2 with Samsung TouchWiz modifications, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE is just 7.9mm thick.
Along with LTE there is also WiFI b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS, along with a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The main cam can shoot 720p HD video, too. A mobile hotspot app can be used to share the 4G LTE connection with up to 10 WiFi devices or a 3G connection with up to five.
LTE is big on this year CES. We have seen the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon and now Sprint is getting its own 4G lineup. The LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is landing at Sprint along with the Sierra Wireless Tri-Network Hotspot.
The Sprint Galaxy Nexus specs will be similar to the verizon one, 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, CDMA and LTE combo network support and 5 MP camera capable of 1080p video capture on the back.
Galaxy Nexus LTE (Sprint) Specs
Most Samsung smartphones are now available with a shiny white dresses for the holiday season, Here comes the Galaxy Nexus white Eddition a little bit late.
According to some UK retailers the white Galaxy Nexus units should start arriving sometime next month. Dates vary, but are generally in the first two weeks of the month. Pricing for the white version is identical to that of its black sibling.
Pre-orders for the 32GB version of the Galaxy Nexus also started, but there is no exact launch date for that one yet. Its £599.99 price tag sure sounds scary, but given that there is no microSD card slot on that one, this is your only option of getting a bit of extra space for all those apps and multimedia files.
Yesterday, We published a leaked photo (photo above with red X on it) of the Galaxy Nexus white version but it turns out to be a Mock-up and not the real Galaxy Nexus white.

A week ago we got the first confirmation about the upcoming availability of a White Galaxy Nexus. We also got the first official picture of the white gadget.

Samsung has discontinued its 32GB GSM variant of the Galaxy Nexus. Expansys product page of the Galaxy Nexus 32 GB HSDPA+ lists the device as discontinued and suggests the 16 GB variant instead.
The Galaxy Nexus is at a disadvantage by not offering additional storage options and lacks mass storage mode. So the only way to have the device with 16 GB storage was to buy the 32 GB version.
NenaMark 2 is a popular Android benchmark for 3D performance and it offers an online database of results. Interestingly, a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with an updated GPU popped up in the results.
The Galaxy Nexus uses a TI OMAP 4460 chipset, which packs a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. That's the same GPU Samsung used in the original Galaxy S. The interesting benchmark result (submitted anonymously) however claims it ran on PowerVR SGX544. It is used in the TI OMAP 4470 chipset, which suggest that the change is due to an upgraded chipset.
Anyway, the GPU scored 39.8fps, while the regular Galaxy Nexus got 24fps when we tested it. Which is what you would expect as the SGX544 offers double the raw performance of the SGX540 (they are both clocked at 384MHz in their respective chipsets).

We all familiar with the Apple lawsuits against samsung, last time Apple banned the Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales in Germany. Today, Accroding to Reuters Apple has asked a federal court in California to block Samsung from selling the new Galaxy Nexus all over the U.S. These patents will cause problems to current Galaxy Nexus users who bought the ICS device.
Not just the Galaxy Nexus, Apple has its attentions on a number of software patents which affect the Galaxy Nexus due to its use of stock Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. As such, these lawsuits would be just as applicable to any device which used an untouched version of ICS no matter what hardware Manufactured this device.
Apple US Patents Against Galaxy Nexus
• US Patent No. 5946647 - System and method for performing an action on a structure in computer-generated data.
Apple previously won the ruling over this patent, resulting in the ban of importation or sale on a number of HTC Android devices, including the T-Mobile G2, the AT&T Aria, the Sprint Evo 4G and the Verizon Droid Incredible. It affects the device's ability to detect a phone number, date or address and allow the detected content to initiate an action resulting in a new application such as the phone dialer or maps to launch.
• US Patent No. 8086604 - Universal interface for retrieval of information in a computer system.
This refers to searching multiple sources of information on a device from a single means of entry. Apple make reference to Siri specifically, but they argue that the inclusion of text-based entry via the means of Spotlight would be just as viable for grounds of infringement.
• US Patent No. 8046721 - Unlocking a device by performing gestures on an unlock image.
Every iOS device has that recognizable 'slide to unlock' bar along the bottom of the screen. Despite already having patent coverage on the image unlock feature, this newer, broader patent aims to include the more unique ways in which other OEMs have developed for unlocking their Android devices.
• US Patent No. 8074172 - Method, system, and graphical user interface for providing word recommendations.
The fourth and final patent in Apple arsenal is also the most recent. It covers the nature of semi-predictive text entry; that is to say, when the user starts to enter text into the device and is given the option to accept or reject suggested words manually.

We all saw the Galaxy Nexus white that was released and available for pre-orders on clove.co.uk. Today, According to a device launch schedule leaked, it appears that the 16GB version of the Galaxy Nexus will be arriving at Verizon U.S. on April 5th in both the white and gray variety.
Its disappointed that there will not be a white 32GB Galaxy Nexus, but it may be good news for those hoping to score a Galaxy Nexus at a more equitable rate it seems likely that the launch of the versions with less internal memory will be concurrent with a reduction in price. The Galaxy Nexus White for Verizon will cost $199 on contract.
Samsung is rolling out a new software update for the US Wi-Fi only version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Unfortunately, Ice Cream Sandwich is not included in the mix - rather this is a maintenance update that will fix some of the known bugs, while also improving the overall performance of the tablet.
The build number HTJ85B.UEKMP P7510UEKMP fixes email attachment issues, rotation issues, Wi-Fi reconnect issues, system file force close issues, while also improving power consumption.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 is currently listed on Amazon website and you can pre-ordered one for $549. Be prepared to wait, as the estimated shipping date is said to be from 3 to 5 weeks.
You'll get a 10.1-inch, Wi-Fi-only tablet equipped with a very special stylus, the S Pen, which has been optimized to work with the device's capacitive touchscreen. Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich is on board, and 32GB of storage are at your disposal.
Galaxy Note 10.1 Specifications
NOTE! The listing states that the tablet is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Xeon processor, which is clearly an error. Instead, what they meant to say is likely that there is a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos chip ticking inside.

The globally available I9100 will be the only version, which will receive the update at the moment. The TouchWiz-ed firmware will be available both on Kies and OTA. Samsung Offiically Said on it website:
"You can upgrade your mobile to Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) thru KIES 2.0 or FOTA. To upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich, you must upgrade KIES to the latest version. (KIES 1.5 does not support upgrading to ICS)"
As you can see in the screenshot above, Face Unlock, Android Beam, and mobile data usage are among the major improvements which will come with the update. In a rather interesting fashion, flash support and Bluetooth 3.0 HS will not be supported due to an "ICS OS feature."

After HTC released the Desire C with ICS 4.0 powered by a single-core 600Mhz ONLY, Everyone is asking this Question about the Galaxy Ace 2 "why the more powerful phones running Gingerbread and not Ice Cream Sandwich?". As the Galaxy Ace 2 has a higher specs than the Desire C with a dual-core CPU.
A leaked promo video for the Ace 2 brings some hopes that Samsung may upgrade the device to ICS 4.0.3. The video labels the phone sd "ICS upgradeable". Watch the Video below, The shot we are talking about is at 0:14.
If only we could build a perpetual motion machine based on smartphone names, we would be able to power the world indefinitely. Instead, we have to rely on batteries and snark to keep us warm while manufacturers methodically work their way through all known words and into the unknown as they continue to create new names for their devices.
This time, we are getting three more names for Samsung Galaxy devices. The Galaxy Velvet, Galaxy Metrix and another name that sounds very cool is the "Galaxy Legend". Samsung are likely to use these New Trademarks for upcoming Mid-range galaxy phones, but we expect samsung to use the legend name for a High-end device.
The Canadian carrier Rogers might be getting a special version of the Samsung Galaxy S III or should you reach for the salt? A Google ad for Rogers says "Samsung Galaxy S III-with 4G LTE and new Exynos Processor". That's mean LTE support + Quad-core CPU together on Galaxy S III device!
We have discussed before that current LTE radios and some Quad-core processors like the NVIDIA Tegra 3 and the Exynos 4412 are not compatible. That is why the US version of the Galaxy S III will have a Dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 because it supports LTE... but Now looks like there is a NEW Exynos chip that support LTE too and Rogers is getting it.
Stay Tuned for More info!
Some of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus owners who already received the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Update, is now reporting that the new software contains a GPS bug, which renders the functionality unusable.
Now, the situation isn't as bad as it seems since the glitch can be easily squashed. Before you try to fix anything, however, you might want to make sure that your Samsung Galaxy Nexus is affected. To do that, make sure that you are at a place where GPS signal can be received. Then open Google Maps and check if a "Searching for GPS..." notification appears. If you get the notification and the blinking GPS icon is absent, then your device is affected.
