mi1 ultra

Xiaomi released the Mi 11 a few months ago in December, with an internal release event following in January this year. The company didn't didn't release any premium model at that point, however, today, it introduced two new additions to Mi 11 series that are called Mi 11i and Mi 11 lite. This year's Mi 11 ultra is the high-end premium smartphone that is an upgrade of its predecessor Mi 11 ultra.

According to the leaks, the main selling point of the phone is an 11-inch OLED screen on the rear side of the device to preview selfies, while allowing you to take pictures with the ultra-wide and standard camera sensors. But the screen also provides always-on functionality and display message or phone notifications. The device also comes with a power saver mode that allows you to use the rear display alone. A rear screen isn't just a great design feature, as the phone offers an IP68 rating for the first time.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 888 Soc, features a 6.81-inch QHD+OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla glass protection. The phone comes with a massive 5,000mah battery with 67W wired and 67W wireless charging. The phone charging goes from zero to 100% only in 36 minutes.

Mi 11 Pro is powered by the same processor as Mi 11i, features a 6.67-inch QHD+OLED screen but has IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone comes with the same battery and charging capacity as Mi 11i. Xiaomi's Pro model also delivers a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5x 8MP periscope camera. You can also shoot a 1,920fps slow-motion video on the Pro and Ultra models. Other two phones included in the series are simply 4G and 5G variations of Mi 11 lite that features a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate, a 4,250mAh battery, and 33W wired charging. The two phones share the same 64MP primary camera sensor specs, with 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and 5MP telephoto macro lens. All of these phones come with Android 11 and MIUI 12 out of the box.

This came as no surprise. After the USA banned the number 1 Chinese smartphone brand Huawei, someone had to take its place. Xiaomi did well this year and sold more than 6 million smartphones, whereas Huawei managed to ship only 5.5 million phones globally. Both companies faced a decline in the sales chart but this is normal as most of the companies faced a downfall due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Last year, Huawei shipped more than 12.2 million smartphones and Xiaomi was successful with 10 million in January of 2020. Huawei sales dropped almost 70% in February of 2020, compared to February 2019. Xiaomi's shipments dropped only around 30%. In total, 62 million phones were shipped to the world in February 202 - a decline of 39%, compared to 2019. During February Samsung shipped the most at 18.2 million devices, followed by Apple's 10 million iPhones.

It seems that after the US strike on Huawei, the company is losing outside of China because its phones don't support Google apps and services. Other phone manufacturers have taken this opportunity to their benefits and start rolling out premium-like smartphones with competitive prices under their names. Meanwhile, the COVID-19 outbreak hit Chinese companies very hard in February. However, China is already recovering, while western markets are slowly marking its progress. Samsung has also lost some percentage of market share but this the least amount and reaches 13% only.

According to a new report from Bloomberg, Apple has experienced an 18.7% increase in its iPhone shipment in China. The report suggests that the company has sold an estimated 3.18 million units of iPhone in China. Previously, the company saw a 6% growth in China for Sep and Oct periods. China is Apple's second-biggest market after the US and despite everything going on between the US and China, the company is still making good progress. According to the statistics, almost 389 million smartphones were shipped in China for 2019 out of which only 13 million were 5G-enabled.

Despite some awkward flaws, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones are the biggest Android smartphones in the market right now. The LG G6 is its closest market competitor right now, but the older Qualcomm Snapdragon chip doesn't really help its cause much. As the iPhone 8 is still quite far off in terms of being released, the upcoming Nokia 9 could be Samsung's only real competitor, if the rumoured specs of the HMD smartphone turn out to be true. Cheek the rumoured spec sheet below to see what we mean.

5.5-inch QHD OLED display
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor
6GB of RAM
64GB/128GB internal storage
22-megapixel dual lens Carl-Zeiss camera on the back
12-megapixel front camera
3800 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support
IP68 water and dust certification
Android 7.1.2 Nougat
Nokia OZO audio VR ready sound

The specs do look mighty impressive, especially the OLED QHD display and Nokia OZO audio. However, it isn't only the specs but the popularity of the Nokia name coming back into business as well. We will have to wait and see if it turns out to be as stellar a device as we are hoping for it to be. In the meanwhile, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the best Android phones you can buy right now (pre-order to be precise!).

Samsung is the global leader when it comes to smartphone sales and market share, but that doesn't mean it's the leader everywhere. Being the most populated and prospective nation in the world, China is now one of the biggest markets for smartphones in the entire world as well. In spite of seeming like the perfect match for each other, Samsung's hold over the local market in China has been reduced to a mere 3% at the end of Q2 2017; the lowest for the company in any other nation where it has a significant presence.

If you are wondering why it is so, there are two main factors at play here. Firstly, the political relationship between South Korea and China is not going very well at the moment. This has resulted in a number of customers rejecting Korea-made products In favor of products from local manufacturers like Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Huawei and the like. Secondly, the competition from the local manufacturers is too steep for Samsung to match up with them under the current situation. In fact, Apple isn't doing too well in the country either as their share in the Chinese market dropped from 8.5% to 8.2% in just a year. Nevertheless, the American company is still doing a lot better than Samsung, given that their market dropped from 7% to just 3% at the end of Q2 2017 in a quarter-on-quarter comparison with 2016.

Just when we thought phones were reaching tablet category with 5.5-inch screen size, bezel-less smartphones from Xiaomi and Samsung pushed the boundary much further than it was ever thought to be feasible without sacrificing portability and usability. However, reports are now indicating that the upcoming Taimen could even dwarf the likes of the Mi Mix and the Galaxy S8.

Leaked on Geekbench, the Taimen will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip and 4GB of RAM, with Android O running out of the box. However the intriguing aspect of the smartphone which you see in this article (possibly) is the name itself. Google has always used fish names (go figure!) to code name its devices and the size of the actual fish in real life always had some sort of a connection to the actual size of the phones. What this basically means is the bigger the fish, the larger the phone and the Taimen is a lot bigger than the Marlin (Pixel XL 5.4-inch). The original report by Forbes suggests that it could also be a tablet but maintains that it is most likely not as Google has traditionally used Nvidia Tegra chips for its tablets.

Top-bitcoin-hotspots

Introduction

Cryptocurrencies are truly a, global phenomena. They are digital assets, which are not subject to borders and fluctuations. In other words, they retain their value in just the same manner across countries and continents.

The value of One Bitcoin would be the same whether it was used in New York or in Addis Ababa. Can you imagine a world, where we did not have to transfer cash, by paying a hefty transaction fee? Alternatively, a world, where our assets and currency was not under government control and untaxable? Or my personal best, a world, where access and inclusion of the poorest poor in the world would be done without any complication.

Yes, Bitcoin makes all this possible and has several other benefits. In this article, we bring you a list of some of the world's top Bitcoin hotspots. The best part about the list is that these hotspots are not located in one country or even continent. You will find them available in different parts of the world.

Top Ten Bitcoin Hotspots in the World: The List

We have compiled the list based on certain factors. All the hotspots have been arranged according to the number of merchants accepting Bitcoins in these places. We have also taken into consideration, the greatest number of Bitcoin ATMs, which are located at these locations. Lastly, we have filtered in the number of Cryptocurrency Exchanges, which are located in these places.

We have arranged the list based on the maximum to minimum factors. For example, San Francisco has the highest number of merchants and Bitcoin ATMs than anywhere else in the world.

  1. San Francisco

  2. Vancouver

  3. Amsterdam

  4. Ljubljana

  5. Tel Aviv

  6. Zurich

  7. Tampa

  8. Buenos Aires

  9. New York

  10. London

Why are Bitcoin Hotspots located in these locations?

One of the major reasons that the Bitcoin hotspots are located in these places is because of acceptance from government authorities. For example, the US is ambivalent when it comes to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

They have not banned Bitcoins, neither have they made them legal tender. In comparison, Canada welcomes Bitcoin, subject to one core principle. Bitcoins or cryptocurrencies cannot be used for Money Laundering activities.

Places such as Ljubljana in Slovenia in Eastern Europe have seen very less regulations and governmental interference. Miners too prefer these kinds of locations because of easy availability of land and cheap electricity.

London and Zurich host some of the biggest Bitcoin Exchanges in the world. London boasts of having ‘Coinfloor', as well as having the biggest Bitcoin Meet-Up Group in the world. The membership is an astounding 2311 members.

Other places or hotspots who have narrowly missed the list are Malta and Cyprus. Other countries where Bitcoin is very popular, but have not figured on the list are Venezuela and Zimbabwe. These countries are too unstable in economic terms.

Is there a possibility of Bitcoin Hotspots to increase in different locations?

Up until 2017, China was one of the major Bitcoin hotspots in the world. However, the Chinese government banned Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies in late 2017. In recent news, the Indian Supreme Court struck down a Government and Central ruling on declaring Bitcoins as illegal.

India is expected to emerge as one of the strongest markets for Bitcoin in the world. Given the recent Supreme Court ruling, the entire Bitcoin ecosystem is closely watching the developments in India.

Conclusion

Trading in Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies, has given rise to making Bitcoin much more mainstream. In different parts of the world, crypto trading through bitcoin era have enabled common people to earn sizable profits. Increase in Bitcoin trading is sure to increase the number of Bitcoin hotspots in different countries and regions.

mobile-games-console

An article by USAToday.com revealed that the mobile games industry could be worth $100 billion by 2021. Mobile games are expected to make more than 70% of all revenue made from mobile apps, and as there are more than one billion owners of smartphones and tablets, that's a huge figure.

The potential amount of money that could be made from mobile gaming has led some of the biggest game developers to put more resources into mobile. Companies like Blizzard, Epic Games and LeoVegas may be known for console and PC gaming, but these brands are all trying to grow their fanbases on mobile as the industry just keeps growing.

App and Browser Versions

Most people on mobile devices will want to download their mobile games, but for people who have weak internet connections or don't have much room on their phones, that won't be an option. The casino review site, Bonus.ca, says that online casinos have learned that and so they allow players to access games such as slots, blackjack, and roulette, through their mobile browsers. Players don't need to download an app to gamble on their phone as many casino sites only ask people to create an account to start playing.

For larger games with more textures, files, and game modes, being compatible with browsers just won't be possible. However, for those game developers who can make their games work on browsers, they can appeal to many more mobile gamers.

Support for Cross-Play

Many developers, such as Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite, got started first on PCs and consoles. This doesn't mean that they treat mobile gamers differently, though, and the company has tried to bring all of its players together by using something called cross-play.

Cross-play, explains Forbes.com, allows players to compete against each other whether they are playing Fortnite on iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. Switch and mobile users will be grouped together, but you can still play together across platforms if you are in a team. As more developers release their games on all platforms, expect cross-play to become a regular thing.

Releasing Smaller Games

By not releasing a mobile game, companies are potentially failing to appeal to a huge number of players. However, that doesn't mean that it is incredibly easy to just bring a game over to mobile devices. Some games were created for PC and controller inputs, or they are large games that mobile devices wouldn't have room for.

Some game developers, such as Blizzard, have tried to find a fix for this. An article from IGN.com explains that the company will be releasing a mobile game called Diablo Immortal, which will have some of the gameplay from its popular dungeon-crawling RPG series. This allows Blizzard to appeal to mobile gamers without trying to fit such a large game onto smaller screens.

As more game developers rush to the gold in the mobile games industry, things are becoming more competitive. It will be much more difficult for other developers to find success, which is why these companies are trying to get into the industry now.
