The Google Keyboard should also be less buggy, but as far as new functionality goes, that's about it. Download the Official APK from the link below.

Chrome

Google Chrome Beta for Android has just been update to v39 with some new tweaks and Animations along with a new Reader Mode, kinda like the one on Safari.

On Google Chrome Beta v39 you'll notice two changes, the first being a slightly different Animation when closing a tab. The swipe animation now pulls the tab down and to the side as it fades. Before it just went to the side. The new Chrome Beta v39 also works in windowed mode on Android L preview. It's sort of like G+ and Newsstand.

The Major change is the addition of Reader Mode, which has popped up a few times in the past. Now it's an item in the menu on all pages to load up a version of the page that's just the text and in-line images. It has a little paw print next to it in the drop down, indicating this is still a BETA feature.

Reader Mode can also be accessed via a toolbar button after you enable a flag in the about://flags screen. Just enter the following on your address bar.

Pocket lock

Locking and unlocking a smartphone is something we do almost subconsciously at this point. However, this doesn't mean the process doesn't feel tedious at times. The processors and sensors inside our handsets our so powerful, why can't they simply lock and unlock the device as we take it out of out pocket?! After all, if we're taking it out, it is dead obvious that 90% of the time we intend to use it, and the other 10% we may leave it on a table, or to charge, or whatever.

Pocket lock

While smartphone manufacturers haven't worked in this automated functionality yet, Android developers have. Meet Pocket Lock, an app that's designed to do exactly what we described unlock your device when you take it out of your pocket, and lock it when you leave it in your pocket.

Google Play services

Google has just pushed a new update to the Google Play Services App to version 6.1.71 which brings some minor enhancements. The first think you'll notice is the New Material Icon for the Grey "Google Settings" App on your App drawer.

The Update also packs some UI tweaks that brings the Android L Material-style check-boxes.

Note that his APK behaves oddly on the L preview. The colors are dark, resources mismatched, and the overflow button causes a force close. It seems Google is holding back some updates (like the Play Store) from the L preview, likely due to API conflicts. If you are using Android L Preview, Download at your own risk!

you can get Google Play Services 6.1.71 from link below. The APK provided below is official and has not been modified by any means.
