Let's admit it, we have been hearing about Samsung preparing a foldable smartphone/tablet for years now, but nothing remarkable or even concrete has been seen so far to confirm that Samsung has any plans of releasing such a device to the consumer market any time soon. Make no mistake, they undoubtedly have the technology to do it as they have shown their foldable displays before at tech-conventions. However, today's leak gives us some more info on the subject that suggests that the mysterious Galaxy X might actually be coming to consumers in 2018.

LetsGoDigital reports that the Korean National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) is inspecting the smartphone as of now. Previous reports had suggested that it already is going through tests necessary for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certifications. Further info suggests that the model number of the foldable handset will be SM-G888. Check out the screenshot for details. The question is, will you be buying the Galaxy X if it really does come out with a foldable display next year? Let us know in the comments.

A rare and somewhat weird problem has begun to surface with the Galaxy A3 (2016), post the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Apparently, a large number of Galaxy A3 (2016) users are finding it impossible to get their device to take charge once the battery reaches 87% or so. Although the cause for this issue remains unknown, one thing which can be said for sure is the fact that this issue appeared only after Samsung updated the device to Android 7.0 Nougat.

The usual tricks as instructed by the Samsung care executives did not work either. Apparently, clearing the cache or even factory data resets are ineffective for some reason and that's a worrying fact if you own the handset. You can try charging the handset in Safe Mode, but that did not work either, as reported by many users. We are hopeful that Samsung will address the issue soon by releasing an OTA patch, but it remains to be seen when that happens. Stay tuned to YouMobile for more information on the subject.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium introduced super slow motion video recording at 960fps this year and till date, no other camera has been able to replicate anything close to that. However, according to the latest rumors, Samsung is planning to challenge Sony's monopoly on that particular camera feature by introducing something similar with the Galaxy S9 in 2018. ET News reports that the rear camera module on the Galaxy S9 will be capable of recording footage at 1,000fps in super slow motion. Although, they did not mention anything about whether or not the module will be a dual camera or a single camera setup.

The three-layer design which Sony uses to capture the 960fps video is exclusive to Sony as they have the patent on it. In order to overcome this obstacle, Samsung is going a different route which may involve a two-layer design. IF you are interested in the exact specifics, you will probably have to wait a few months for that because the S9 is still quite a way off! In the meanwhile check out the video to know how a 1,000fps footage might actually look.

After months of battling apps dedicated to disabling or remapping the infamous Bixby button, Samsung has finally decided to give in to their users' wishes and has ultimately provided the very welcome option of turning the button off. Strangely enough, this comes right after Bixby actually started to become somewhat useful for its voice based functionalities!

This option came in with the latest Bixby update and users of the Galaxy S8, S8+ and the Note 8 can finally toggle the Bixby button off. If you do that, pressing the button won't start Bixby anymore. In fact, it won't do anything at all after that! You can also turn the button on/off from the Bixby settings menu if you want to.

In case you don't see that option on your device, it means you probably have not been given the update yet. Don't worry though, because it will get there eventually. Perhaps we would have been a bit happier if Samsung allowed us to remap the Bixby button to something useful as well, but hey! One baby step at a time, right?

Last Friday, I had an awful experience as I became possibly the first person in the world to officially report about a Galaxy S8 emitting smoke. If you don't know about it yet, check my post out by clicking here. I got my phone back today from the service center and just as I was beginning to get excited about getting back my Galaxy S8, I noticed something that made me very unhappy. My handset was getting very hot even while I was just using it to navigate the menu options at 50% brightness! This had never happened before, prior to the incident.

At first, I felt that it must be all the routine new phone settings and updates because that does heat up phones quite a bit. Unfortunately, it kept getting hotter the longer I used it and even after I made sure that there were no apps running in the background and everything was updated, nothing changed. Keep in mind that this is a formatted device with no external apps on it yet! I sensed that it was the hottest around the Edges and decided to call Samsung Care. They could not resolve it and told me some generic (and stupid) stuff like I should clear my notification bars! I am now going to do a full battery drain and recharge to see if it changes things, as instructed by the call center executive. However, this experience has led me to reconsider if it's worth spending $905 (Yes, It's THAT expensive in India!) on a smartphone from Samsung. I should have received a replacement, but instead, I got the same phone, repaired and still getting crazy hot. I am disappointed in you Samsung...
