iPhone 5

Good Question is this the Upcoming iPhone5 leaked on a video ? is it a protot-type ? Well, The Answer is NO, its FAKE! see the video below and you will see its faked very carefully to make us beilve its a leaked protoype.

All evidence leads to this video being a fake. We noticed that when launching the two apps (Safari and a game) the guy never lifts his thumb off the icon and iOS does not work that way. The game level also starts without anyone touching the Touch To Start button. Then the dates on the lockscreen and on the homescreen do not match up. The guy also does not show the phone all around and even makes a point of hiding the home button the whole time.

iPhone5 concept 4"

Reports from Reuters and Wall Street Journal Confirm that Apple's Next Generation iPhone aka "iPhone 5" or "the New iPhone" will have a 4-inches screen measure from corner to corner.

That would represent a roughly 30 percent increase in viewing area, assuming Apple kept other dimensions proportional. Apple has been using a 3.5-inch screen since introducing the iPhone in 2007 and all these displays was Manufactured by Samsung Ltd.

Samsung

Also The Reports from Reuters confirm that the Next Generation iPhone displays will NOT be Manufactured by Samsung as we announced before that Samsung will stop Manufacturing any parts for Apples products, The production of the new screens has begun at three suppliers: Korea's LG Display Co Ltd, Sharp Corp and Japan Display Inc, a Japanese government-brokered merger combining the screen production of three companies.

iphone 4-inch

The latest News confirm that Apple's Next Generation iPhone aka iPhone 5 will pack a 4-inch display, Some people wondered how the iOS Apps & browser will look like on a 4-inch Display here is some Mock-up photos to show you.

iPhone 4-inch

In the mock-ups, one can easily see a few examples of how the device will benefit from having a bigger screen: it will display more of the map, more text from the same webpage, and give a significant impression of a larger space from a relatively small increase in actual screen real estate. It'll be interesting to see the perception of the larger screen size if Apple decides to changes it. However, it should be mentioned that increasing the screen size or changing the screen to device ratio could significantly alter the well known identifying look of the iPhone as we have known it, which may not have a desirable effect among iPhone fans.

An Apple iPhone 5 leaked proto-type photos has just surfaced, showing the new design with aluminum back panel to all of us once again. The pictures also confirm a smaller dock connector, a 3.5 mm headphone jack placed at the bottom, a front-facing camera above the earpiece as well as a different camera and LED flash module.

The devices has a complete black design, going as deep as the external antenna of the device. Even the Apple logo on the back is colored black. The iPhone 5 is said to be coming in September with iOS 6 launch.

We have seen a lot of renders of the next generation iPhone before but these are some of the best we have seen so far. a Gizmodo reader made these after looking at some of the leaked images that have come out so far and has done a terrific job with them.

iPhone 5

You'll notice things like the vertically stretched display and an aluminum back, along with a new connectivity port that we have seen and heard about in the past. He also took the time to put some fake fingerprints on them to make the renders look even more realistic.

foxconn

Foxconn's CEO, Terry Gou, revealed an intent to overtake Samsung in every electronics-manufacturing way imaginable within 5 years.Foxconn recently bought stake in a Sharp LCD screens plant, and it is precisely this partnership it hopes will give it an edge over Samsung's technology.

Terry Gou went so far as to say that Sharp is three years ahead of Samsung in its 10th generation screen plant, perhaps focusing on the IGZO technology that the Japanese have developed, and which is making debut in the Resolutionary display of the new iPad. Moreover, he fleetingly mentioned that people should wait for the iPhone 5, as it will put the Galaxy S III to shame.

iphone 5

The whole tirade about the war on Samsung went on when the CEO was announcing the partnership with Sharp as a done deal. "Snitches get stitches" is apparently the driving force behind this animosity towards Samsung, as the Koreans played the role of "tainted witness", exempt from an European Commission investigation into LCD price fixing.

According to Terry Gou Samsung is "a company that has a track record of snitching on its competitors". His capitalistic heart was apparently too broken to have anything to do with them, so he turned over to Sharp: "I respect the Japanese and especially like their execution and communication styles. Unlike the Koreans, they will not hit you from behind."

Apple profits

Apple has just posted its report for Q3,2012 and things are looking good for the Cupertino-based company. The revenue was $36 billion and the net profit stood at $8.2 billion, both of those comparing very favorably to the numbers from the same period of last year ($28.3 billion and $6.6 billion).

The iPhone sales were somewhat disappointing at 26.9 million units, compared to 35.1 million in Q2. The iPad shipments stood at 14 million units, compared to 17 million in the previous quarter, while Mac sales grew from 4 million to 4.9 million. Despite the refresh of the lineup, the iPod sales slid to 5.3 million units from 6.8 million in Q2.

iPhone 5

Apple may have solved their trademark problems in China, but it appears they may have a bigger problem on its hands south of the U.S. border, as a court in Mexico City has denied an injunction that would have allowed Apple to continue to sell under the "iPhone" brand because it violates the trademarks of iFone, a Mexican telecommunications company.

The ruling could have a major impact on Apple's phone sales in Mexico, as well as affecting the marketing and sales plans of several wireless service providers in the country, some of which were gearing up to offer the iPhone 5 to customers this weekend.

It's not actually clear what Apple was thinking this time around - the iFone trademark was filed in Mexico in 2003, a full four years before Apple filed to trademark the iPhone. Despite the rather obvious priority issue, Apple decided to sue iFone in 2009 in an attempt to invalidate the company's name for being too similar to the iPhone. The predictable response was a countersuit by iFone, and the court battles have been swinging in iFone's favor ever since.

iphone 4g lte

There are plenty of good reasons to think Apple's next generation iPhone will support 4G LTE wireless, the new iPad being top among them. Here's one more: Senior executives at Korea's SK Telecom and KT tell The Korea Times that they are currently negotiating with Apple over LTE service for its next iPhone.

Since their 4G networks rely on different LTE frequencies from those used in the United States, the carriers are understandably concerned that Apple might not offer Korean consumers LTE as an option for the new iPhone, just as it did for the new iPad.

Tim Cook, Apple CEO

Reuters, popular international news agency, quoted an unnamed industry source, who revealed in front of the South Korean Maeil Business newspaper that the next iPhone will be packing a huge 4.6" display. What is even more surprising, Apple will reportedly be unveiling it in Q2, merely 9 months after the 4S was announced.

Reuters reports also confirm the rumors, Apple is witching from a 3.5" to a 4.6" display, but such drastic changes risk alienating some customers. And when you have a user base as large and loyal as the one Apple has, that is the last thing you would want to do.

Reuters report:

"Apple has decided on the bigger 4.6-inch display for its next iPhone and started placing orders to its suppliers, the Maeil Business Newspaper said, quoting an unnamed industry source.

Its major display suppliers LG Display and Samsung Electronics Co declined to comment.

iPhone 5 Display

Some Reports leaked revealing Info about the iPhone 5, The next-Generation of the Apple iPhone (iPhone 5) could turn up with a 4.1-inch display of 1136 x 640 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and a brightness of 500 nits (just like the iPhone 4S). The display density will be a 319ppi (pixels per inch) which is still a retina display too.

Display

Reports also has contatind on the cameras and thickness of the iPhone 5, saying that the front-facing camera will be 720p HD-capable, which makes FaceTime calls far better than VGA camera, and that the camera will be moved from the left side of the earpiece to the center (like on the iPod Touch 4th Generation).

iPhone 5 Camera

The back camera will reportedly have 8 MP sensor and a 5 element lens similar to the 4S but with a larger aperture of f/2.2 (currently f/2.4). That would allow more light to reach the sensor and improve the low-light performance.

Body & Camera

iPhone 5 Body

As for the profile, the next iPhone will measure the impressively thin 7.9 mm, which is a huge improvement over the iPhone 4S's 9.3 mm.

Quad-core

Digitimes reports that the new Apple iPhone (aka iPhone 5) will pack Qualcomm's quad-core chipset for the holiday shopping season, As we reported Samsung will manufacture the chips for Qualcomm, The quad-core APQ8064A is a monster chipset, since it integrates multimode LTE radio, and is built on the 28nm process too.

It isn't exactly a revelation that Apple might place such a chip in its iPhone 5, since we heard rumors that Cupertino's engineers are testing the next generation A6 with four processor cores at the TSMC foundry earlier this year.

A6

Actually we last heard that Samsung will be producing the A6, and now the sources confirm that this quad-core A6 is none other, but modified quad-core Exynos 4 series, which is already running in the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S III. This means a 32nm HKMG package made in Samsung's Austin, Texas factory a pretty powerful combination.

iphone5

What we are looking at here appears to be the most complete leak of the new iPhone (iPhone 5) to date. The images come from KitGuru, who indicated that the photos are of a test assembly unit and were taken somewhere in "the Far East". Of note is that the images show that the new iPhone body may be somewhat longer than the current version to support the larger screen.

The Photos also show off the new connector that has been expected on this year's iPhone, and it clearly will not work with current iPhone peripherals without some sort of adapter.

iphone5

The images don't show the usual tell-tale signs of forgery, so we see little reason to doubt them in that sense. Of course we don't know at what stage of development this test assembly was made, so it may not reflect the final product exactly.

Another photo of the next-generation iPhone (aka iPhone 5) front has been leaked, Notice the centered FaceTime camera. It's a single white frame, the black is just the frame flipped over. Which is new, we've yet to see a white iPhone front frame for the next iPhone.

This time it's the final design of the iPhone that foxconn is currently Manufacturing in China.

Less layers, More Touch-sensitivity

We've heard that info numerous times before, mainly concerning Apple's usual touch panel suppliers Wintek and TPK Holding, which got sidestepped this time for the iPhone 5 orders, as the new technology integrates the touch panel directly into the screen, and they become redundant.

The current suppliers for the 6th generation iPhone's screen are apparently Sharp, LG and Japan Display Co., which is a government-sponsored joint venture between Sony, Toshiba and Hitachi.

iphone 5 display

The new iPhone 5 has finally left the old 3.5″ screen with 3:2 aspect ratio and got a New 4″ screen with a 16:9 aspect. Where does that put it in terms of size?

The new screen bigger than the older models, but not by as much as the diagonal difference suggests, due to the change in the aspect ratio. The resolution has also been bumped up to accommodate the new screen, so the pixel density remains unchanged, So its the Same as the iPhone 4/4S and its the same as the Samsung GALAXY S III that was released 3 Months ago.

Apple's iPhone 5 display has a resolution of 1136 x 640 and this doesn't consider a HD display as its a few pixels away to be a Try-HD like the Galaxy S3 display that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 with the same exact density 326ppi as we said before.

Done great in the styling of recent Apple keynotes, a guy looking suspiciously close to Phil Schiller, says that this year Cupertino has "Nothing" to announce, because "we are good, we don't need any more of your money right now".

Note2 vs iPhone5

Here is a full Comparison between Apple's latest iPhone 5 and Samsung Newest Monster the GALAXY Note II, its your Call!

Note2 iPhone5

  • Design : The iPhone 5 claimed to be the thinnest and lightest iPhone yet, which is available in two business colors (black and white). If the iPhone is slim, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a massive display. The latter is also available in two different colors.

  • Screen Display : The new iPhone finally let go of its prehistoric 3.5 inch screen and put a 4-inch screen display. The new screen has 1136 x 640 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. However, it is no match to Samsung Galaxy Note 2's massive 5.5 inch screen display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution.

  • Operating System : The iPhone 5 will be run by the new iOS 6. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is powered by the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with "Project butter" smooth UI.

  • Processor : iPhone 5 is powered by the new A6 processor. According to Schiller, the chip is 22% smaller than the previous A5 in the iPhone 4S, but is twice as fast and doubles the graphics and computing performance of its predecessor. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will not be left behind with its 1.6GHz Quad-core Exynos processor.

  • Connectivity : Both devices supports 4G/LTE connection, which is the latest trend in mobile technology.

  • Camera : iPhone 5 is equipped with iSight with HD 720p, 8-megapixel camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 boasts 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED Flash and another front-facing 1.9-megapixel camera with HD 720p.

  • Battery Life : Apple is promising strong battery life in the iPhone 5. The company claims it'll deliver 8 hours of 3G talk time and 8 hours of LTE browsing. On standby, the device will last 225 hours on a single charge, the company says. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has 3100 mAh battery.

Apple A6

Yesterday, Apple stated that the A6 system chip inside the iPhone 5 is "2x faster" than the A5 in the iPhone 4S, both in terms of processor cores and in graphics subsystem. Apple might be the first to market with a processor based on the Cortex-A15 platform of the British chip designers ARM Holdings.

A6

Reports Confirms that the A6 is indeed a dual-core Cortex-A15 processor, most likely made in Samsung's Austin, Texas foundry in the U.S. with the same 32nm LP HK+MG processor used for the Exynos 4412 in the Samsung Galaxy S III, and for the 5-series Exynos.

Samsung

Cortex-A15 at 2GHz has twice the performance of Cortex-A9 at 1.5GHz, but as far as we know Apple, the A6 is likely clocked much lower, yet could still be "2x faster" than A5 at its respective clock frequency.

This probably won't be much of a deal breaker for potential iPhone 5 owners, but we thought it would be good to give you a heads up, especially now that the smartphone is up for pre-order.

LTE iPhone 5

Turns out that the iPhone 5 cannot handle voice calls and LTE data at the same time when used on a CDMA network. In other words, Verizon and Sprint iPhone 5 owners will have their LTE data cut off during calls, so their smartphone will have no internet connection unless it is connected to a Wi-Fi network. This limitation won't be present on the AT&T iPhone 5.

Pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 5 have been tremendous with even Apple blown away by the demand. And the demand for the 6th generation of the iPhone isn't limited to the United States. A pair of Canadian carriers, Bell and Virgin Mobile Canada have stopped taking reservations for the Apple iPhone 5, citing "overwhelming success" of the pre-order program in Bell's case and "huge demand" for the device at Virgin Mobile.

The parody promo video is shot in the familiar spirit of Apple's promos and adds tons of humor at the expense of the iOS flagship. If you are not familiar, those are the same guys who did the viral promo of the iPhone 4 two years ago.

This year the annual "iPhone camping" started eight full days before the new iPhone 5 actually becomes available in stores. The line at the Fifth Avenue store in New York is already pretty long and they all will wait for more than a week till the iPhone 5 launch.

Waiting in line is not extreme fanboyism, people are there to get some free publicity or with a money making scheme in mind.

Apple released the iPhone 5 with the A6 Chipset that Apple designed it and Samsung manufactured it. However, Apple doesn't really care about marketing towards spec nerds, they just said that A6 is 2x Faster than previous A5X in terms of the CPU & GPU and its a Quad-core Processor.

A6 chip

In Fact, After TechInsights have examined the A6 SoC using diffusion imagery and have found out some details. It looks like the A6 is a Dual-core CPU, each core is clocked at 1GHz.

The GPU has Tri-Core (3 cores) running at 266MHz, but that is unclear. It is assumed that the GPU is a PowerVR SGX 543MP3, but again that isn't confirmed. The CPU is also a custom job made by Samsung.

Lately, Several iPhone 5 owners, particularly of the Black & Slate colored model, are reporting "dents and scratches" along the chamfered edges of their new iPhone 5 devices right out of the box.

There aren't many reports from owners of the White & Silver iPhone 5, but that just might be because the color isn't particularly popular.

Apple will surely replace any damaged device. But if you're importing this device to a different country, you will need to be careful and hold on till the issue gets sorted.

Chronic Dev developers issued this picture showing a white iPhone 5 on its way to be jailbroken at last. Notice the abundance of unauthorized widgets in the pull-down notification bar, you can do that unless your iPhone is jailbroken.

"I would characterize it more as finding the missing pieces rather than debugging at this stage. Typically the messiest part of the jailbreak process has been installing it in the first place... We're further along than WWJC. But again, I can't give any specifics. The jailbreak itself is stable but we're missing needed exploits. I can't discuss what we're missing." - Chronic Dev

S3 vs. iphone 5

Both devices have a physical buttons below the screen, Apple iPhone 5 is undoubtedly easier to grasp in the hand, seeing that it's lighter in weight, skinnier in frame, and not as cumbersome to hold in the hand as the Galaxy S III. The S III feels good in hands and hard to fall-off too as its big & wide in a way that fits your hands perfectly.

S3 vs. iphone 5

However, there's no doubt in our mind that the Samsung Galaxy S III would probably handle a fall a lot better than its rival mainly because its plastic body wouldn't be as badly beaten up.

S3 vs iphone5

The iPhone 5 pack a Retina display with decent pixel density and deep colors. However, the device has a non-standard display resolution (1136 x 640) which doesn't allow it to display any HD content correctly. In other hands, The Galaxy S III sAMOLED HD display has a good pixel density, less than the iPhone 5, and has great brightness and high contrast colors, The S3 HD resolution (1280 x 720p) 16:9 ratio allow it to perfectly show full HD content on the screen without compressing or cutting any of it.

Battery life

In the 3G talk time test, the Jelly Bean Galaxy S III survived for 10 hours and 15 minutes of constant talk on a single charge, The iPhone 5 last only 8 Hours and 42 minutes which is about 2 hours less than the Galaxy S III.

vieo playback s3 iphone 5

In the video playback test, the Jelly Bean Galaxy S III's battery reached 10% after 9 hours and 27 minutes, When the iPhone 5 lasts 10 hours and 12 minutes. The Galaxy S III lost this round by only 45 minutes less than the iPhone 5, we can blame the Huge 4.8-inch sAMOLED 720p HD display for those 45 minutes.
