Samsung A9

Apple released a new lineup of devices this year... the iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and Apple Watch. All these new devices are running iOS 9 and powered by Apple A9 chipset which is said to be the most advanced and fastest CPU so far.

What you may not know that all these devices are actually Powered by Samsung, the Korean giant is the main manufacturer and supplier for the Apple A9 chip. Apple have chosen Samsung to build its CPUs since the Apple A6, admitting that Samsung is the best hardware supplier in the industry even though the companies are in a serious competition in markets and court too.

Also, Samsung has been allegedly employed to provide between 3,000 and 4,000 12-inch silicon wafers for the Apple S1 SiP (which powers the Apple Watch) each month, based on Samsung's 28nm manufacturing process for all Apple Watch variants.

Samsung foldable

Earlier this year we have reported that Samsung has officially announced that it's building on a bendable/foldable smartphone for this year. Well, it looks like we are getting really close to see this device on markets, it packs codename "Samsung Project Valley" and it has faced some delays and expected to be ready to launch by January,2016.

Samsung is reportedly testing both Snapdragon 620 and 820 for the phone. It doesn't become clear if that's for two separate versions of the phone or just looking for the most suitable chipset. Either way, it will have 3GB of RAM.

The battery will be non-removable, as the Korean will have to design a custom battery for this device but Samsung Project Valley will allegedly have a microSD slot. The screen will certainly be OLED, there are no bendy LCDs.

Samsung link

SamsungTomorrow has just published an Infographic that shows the ideas and uses of "Samsung Level Link" which is a small Bluetooth fob that can wireless audio stream to anything from headphones to cars.

The idea is pretty simple a switch tells the Level Link if it's transmitting or receiving, then you just have to plug in the old-fashioned 3.5mm audio jack.

When acting as a receiver, it lets you stream audio from sources that lack Bluetooth functionality your favorite corded headset or your car's stereo. The transmitter functionality has potential too you can watch TV with headphones but without cables. Check the Infographic below.
