Verizon has release a software for the Galaxy Tab 7.7, here are a few hints to make the process quick and easy:

 Download and installation should take 15-20 minutes. Keep in mind that during the installation you will be unable to use your Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.

 Software update size: Approximately 283.1MB.

System Update while you are Roaming

1. If you are roaming you will not receive a system update notice. You will need to enable Wi-Fi and wait for the update

notice to appear or as mentioned above you can manually update by going to "Home" > "Application" > "Settings"

> "About device" > "System updates".

2. To enable Wi-Fi go to "Settings" > "Wireless & networks". Tap "Wi-Fi" to enable.
3. To connect to an available "Wi-Fi network" select "Wi-Fi settings" and select an available Wi-Fi network or

manually add a Wi-Fi network that has had security settings established.

If the system update fails to install, you will get an error screen. However, this only means the software did not install
properly. The device will power back on with original software and will prompt you once again to install the system update.

Requested by a UK court, Apple has posted a tiny link in the footer of https://www.apple.com/uk The notice acknowledges the judgement that Samsung hadn't infringed on the iPad design making use of their Galaxy Tab. The written text of the notice starts:

On 9th July 2012 the top Court of Justice of England ruled that Samsung Electronic (UK) Limited's Galaxy Tablet Computer, namely the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9 and Tab 7.7 usually do not infringe Apple's registered design No. 0000181607-0001

But Apple's notice is somewhat playful and procedes to quote from the judgement in which the Judge describes that Apple's design is "cool" and eventually the Samsung design is simply not as cool. The Judge wrote:

"The informed user's overall impression of every of the Samsung Galaxy Tablets may be the following. From your front they belong to the family which include the Apple design; but the Samsung items are very thin, almost insubstantial members of that family with unusual information on the back. They don't have the same understated and extreme simplicity that is possessed through the Apple design. They're not as cool."

Apple procedes to explain that the case was also tried in Germany understanding that in that court Samsung was discovered guilty. Ultimately, they write

"So as the U.K. court didn't find Samsung responsible for infringement, other courts have recognized that throughout creating its Galaxy tablet, Samsung willfully copied Apple's a lot more popular iPad."

The link must remain on Apple UK website for a period of one month, and Apple is also required to run ads acknowledging the ruling.

Samsung has just released Jelly Bean update for the American variants of its Galaxy Tab 2 tablets, both 7 inch and the 10.1 inch. The update is available over-the-air and improves performance of the tablets along with features like expandable and actionable notifications, resizable widgets and lots more.

In addition, the software update will bring the enhanced notifications as well as Google Now. Those who happen to be in the US with a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 in hand now have a few options to consider, you can either wait for the update notification to arrive or manual check for update and get it now.

If you haven't been notified yet, head over to Settings menu and check for updates by navigate to Settings -> About device -> Software update to try and get the process started now.

It's been a couple of year since the Galaxy Tab 7 and Galaxy Tab 10 were released, even with a few intensive fights with Apple over the patents lawsuits, Samsung will likely to announced a their third generator of the Galaxy Tab devices.

Rumor has it that the newest Galaxy Tab 3 tablets aka "Santos" will be unveiled, and just like their predecessors, they will come in a 7- and 10.1-inch form factor. We have no idea what the resolution will be, however. The processor of choice is also shrouded by mystery at this time.

On the other hand, AndroidCentral claims that both Galaxy Tab 3 models sport a 5-megapixel main camera. There will also be 3G and Wi-Fi-only variants of the two devices. As far as model names are concerned, they are said to be GT-P3200, GT-P3210, GT-P5200 and GT-P5210. Both the 7- and 10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 should be on the market within the first half of 2013.

Something to look forward at the Mobile World Congress, and we will keep you updated.

Last week, there were rumors regarding Samsung dropping Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. But, today it's confirmed that Samsung will drop Samsung Galaxy tab 3 7.0 and will launching Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. But, the launch of this tablet depends upon the sales generated by Galaxy note 8.0. Another tablet by the name of Galaxy tab 3 10.1 is also in Samsung's plans and could any time this. Though, all these tablets will LTE versions too which is good news for all the tablet users. But, they would be required to pay a higher cost for buying LTE version.

Furthermore, Samsung is also working upon Galaxy Tab Plus too; it would be somewhat a special tablet from Samsung and would be releasing some time in this current year. Till then we have to wait and see what these tablets really possess and look like.

Thanks to Phonearena, the not yet announced Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 tablet has leaked to the public.   Sadly the images are pretty blurry to tell the exact model number, but it seems to start with GT-P****, as Samsung's slates are typically numbered.

The images of the box says "Galaxy Tab 3", however, with the power of photoshop these days, so we cannot assume this is the real one,  So far we know Samsung wants to bring all their tablets in white first. so the black model is interestly to say the least.  We will know more at the Mobile World Congress.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) tablet is due for a facelift after 12 months. The Google Nexus 7 or the latest Amazon Kindle Fire tablets are more powerful competitors that have eaten into its market share though it boasts a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display and a TI OMAP 4 dual core processor.

Samsung have announced a limited edition Garnet Red Edition Galaxy Tab accompanied by a free case. The price has been dropped to $220 and will be available at Walmart, Amazon, Office Depot, TigerDirect and Toys R Us.

The tablet features a microSD card slot and a built-in IR port enabling you to use it as a remote control for your television.

It weighs about 12 ounces, measures about 0.4 inches thick, and features WiFi and Bluetooth. It runs on the Android Jelly Bean software.

Particulars about the top of the line 10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Plus have just been released including two new tablets soon to be launched in the near future: a 7-inch affordable one and an 8-inch model.

The AnTuTu benchmark has listed it with a 1.7GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos 5 chip (based on Cortex A15) showcasing the most recent Android platform, 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The Galaxy Tab 3 Plus specifications resemble that of the Nexus 10 and has a general score of 13,377. A UAP profile leak confirmed a similar resolution of an enormous 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.

Availability and cost are yet to be disclosed though it is likely to be launched at MWC towards the end of February.

The Galaxy Tab 3.0 with 7-inch display, initially rumored to come with a mediocre 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, is apparently now boasting a 1,280 x 800 res, which would result in a pretty decent 216 ppi pixel density.

This is the same resolution as the Nexus 7's panel and we haven't heard a lot of folks complaining about lack of sharpness or poor viewing angles on Google's slate.

The tablet in the past also appeared on The User Agent Profile Of Samsung Official Website.  According to GlBenchmark he specifications of GT-P3200 are:

  • Processor Operating Frequency 200~1500Mhz with Mali-400MP GPU
  • Android 4.2.1
  • 7 inch WXGA display with 1280*800 resolution
  • Codename:Santos73g

SoC Type is still unknown, but it could be exynos processor.  Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.0(GT-P3200) is expected to be released at MWC2013.

GLBenchmark also revealing that the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 will be running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. Finally, the CPU seems to be clocked at 1.5 GHz, although without knowing the number of cores, make and model, we can't say too much about it.

At the Mobile World Congress held last February, Samsung only ended up announcing the Galaxy Note 8.0 and its wireless charging capabilities. However, it was really slated to introduce several tablets but for some reason, they focused on one major product and other mid-range devices.

Some of the Bluetooth-enabled devices for Samsung were already listed at the Bluetooth SIG and one of these is Galaxy Tab 3 Plus. It looks like an LTE version will also be on the way. Furthermore, the SIG confirms that the LTE edition will be released in Europe. No information exists when it will also be released elsewhere but it will be seen in various markets soon.

This is possibly the No. 1 tablet for the Korean giant this year. However, we could be wrong and the company might just come out with a tablet that has closer specs with the Galaxy S 4, Exynos Octa or possibly even one that has a higher RAM, who knows?

Hurray to another device that received the Jelly Bean update. Sprint has brought Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to the 10-incher Samsung Galaxy Tab today. It can be recalled that other variants for the device were already upgraded and the update was issued only for the "Wi-Fi only" Tab 2.

The Android 4.1.1 will bring about enhancements and additions on notifications, system and it will also allow users to enjoy Google Now. Other fab features are the Project Butter and photography applications and other bonuses.

It will probably take weeks to complete the roll out but be assured that it will definitely come to all Sprint Tab 2 devices. You will receive a notification prior to installation and it won't take long starting from now, so better check constantly on your tablet's "About" section.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 from Sprint Gets Jelly Bean Update

Today, Sprint began rolling out the AndroidTM 4.1.1, Jelly Bean, update to its Samsung Galaxy Tab® 2 10.1 customers.

The update is available over the air (wirelessly). The update notification will be pushed automatically to Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 users during the next few weeks. Once the download is complete, you will be prompted to install the update. Installation will take a few minutes, and your device will be disabled during the installation process. It will be ready to use when the process is complete.

Jelly Bean offers users stunning graphical capabilities with expanded feature functionality, including:

• Google NowTM gets you just the right information at just the right time, like how much traffic to expect before you leave for work or when the next train will arrive as you're standing on the platform. Google Now can be accessed by launching the GoogleTM app from the app tray.

• Smooth transitions enable effortless movement between home screens and apps, like turning pages of a book.

• Expandable, actionable notifications allow you to take action directly from the notifications panel.

• Widgets work like magic as you place widgets on the screen, everything else automatically moves to make room; when they're too big, widgets resize on their own.

Samsung might just introduce new flagship devices on the yearly Berlin electronics event, the IFA. It also looks like that would be the event where the Galaxy Tab 3 and Note 3 will both be unfolded, since no news on the exact date of their announcement exists yet. Furthermore, Samsung loves to introduce new products or technology on international trade events as part of their marketing campaign.

The next IFA will be held on first to second week of September and it looks to match the period or date that we heard from an insider that they will introduce these devices only on the second half of 2013.

These devices are also expected to draw in crowds as many as those who attended the S 4 unveiling last March 14th.

The Tab 3 might also have two variants, like what has been going on for a while now on the rumor mill. On the other hand as opposed to earlier reported rumors that the Note 3 will go over 6 inches, it will only measure 5.9 inches, based on the prototype that will be revealed to AT&T execs later this week.

Samsung will surely follow up on its high-end tablets and according to the rumor mill; the next to be featured will be the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus. It can be recalled that Samsung did a "Plus" device two years back with the Galaxy Tab 7.7 Super AMOLED Plus. This device made waves and customers say that it is one of the best tablets in the market.

According to the buzz, Samsung wants to take their tablets to a whole new level and compete head on with Apple's iPad and Sony's XPERIA tablet Z. With the success that they've had with their AMOLED displays, Samsung might just create a bigger tablet fit to rival its major competitors' 10-in and 11-in devices. The Korean company allegedly developed prototypes of various sizes. Furthermore, our insider thinks that Samsung will likely use their Exynos processors, if ever they do launch a bigger, high-end tablet this year.

SamMobile reports that Samsung plans to update the Galaxy Tab 2 to the first Android Jelly Bean version and then to update the device to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as a final roll out. When this happens, users will only have to rely on the developers of custom ROMs to carry on with the devices' upgrades and updates. This news came as the Tab 2 turns 1-year-old.

Also, Samsung is allegedly trying and testing the Jelly Bean on their older Tab versions and the NVIDIA Tegra 2 T20. Although no formal word from Samsung have come out yet, the possibility of Jelly Bean 4.2.2 as the final update remains to be seen. Samsung might also update all its dual core devices to the Jelly Bean 4.2.2. For now, let's just wait until more leaks or facts do come out to confirm this plan by Samsung.

Well, this comes as a surprise, sammobile basically showed a picture of what they claimed to be the Galaxy Tab 3, I would probably take this as a grain of salt as nothing in the screenshot specify that it's the actual Galaxy Tab 3.  It does look a lot like the Galaxy Note 8.0

The product codes are, as rumoured earlier, GT-P8200, GT-P8210 and GT-P8220.   What do you think?

Here are the rumored specifications

- Samsung Exynos 5410 Octa CPU
- 4 x (1.6GHz ARM-Cortex A15) 4 x (1.2GHz ARM-Cortex A7)
- Imagination Power SGX 544MP3 GPU
- 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB and 64GB Models
- MicroSD card storage expansion (up to 64B)
- 9000 mAh standard li-ion battery
- 10.055″ 2560×1600 display - 300PPI
- Could be PLS LCD or Super AMOLED ‘PENTILE'
- 8 Megapixel camera with AF
- 1080p Video@30fps
- 2 megapixel front facing camera with AF
- 1080p Video@30fps
- IR Blaster

We have heard a bit about the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, but now proof was obtailed by SamMobile. SamMobile had discovered that Samsung is going to change some of its lettering for model numbers in the coming months.  After some research, it  appears that the new numbers are already appearing on at least one page in Samsung's Internet ecosystem, but the pages they have not yet been published.

Here's an example.

Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) 16GB 3G (SM-T3100****** - White) Week 27 (Week of July 1)

Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) 16GB Wi-Fi (SM-T3110****** - White) Week 24 (Week of June 10)

We have no idea what the prices will be for these devices yet, but we will keep you posted.

Carphone Warehouse stays true to its word and offers the Galaxy S III Mini with a freebie that even the non-fans would find difficult to resist. Buying an S III Mini from this retailer in the UK will also get you a 7-incher Galaxy Tab 2 for free-no strings attached.

Plans for the S III Mini start at £22 monthly on O2 and a bit more if you want an Orange or a Vodafone plan. This 4-inch smartphone runs on a dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and 5MP camera on the back. Also, it comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, which may be upgraded to the 4.2 version.

Although the Galaxy Tab 2 is not the latest in the market, it is still a good deal, considering you will only have to pay for one device to get both. Furthermore, the Galaxy Tab 2 is a trustworthy device that is perfect for those who want to try their hand on a capable Android tablet.

The 10- and 8-incher Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 might be unveiled earlier than usual, as reported by Techblog. Furthermore, the 3G versions for both the 10- and 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 might already be seen on store shelves by May. On the other hand, we should expect the LTE-enabled versions to be sold on June or the following month.

The two tablets obviously differ in size and battery capacity. The 10-inch Tab 3 features a 7000 mAh battery and the other only has 4500 mAh battery. However, a good characteristic to note is that the 8-inch Tab 3 is actually very thin. Both have similar processors, Android versions, screen resolutions, cameras, among others.

No news yet on other noteworthy devices that will be unveiled by Samsung in the near future. These are the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus and the most-anticipated phablet, the Note 3, which is expected to top even the Samsung Galaxy S 4's sale AND reputation.

Adorama listed the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 on its website, and priced at $199 dollars.

Samsung's latest tablet offering sports a 1024x600 pixel screen -- although perhaps underwhelming at today's standards -- but is able to support full 1080p HD playback. The Galaxy Tab 3 is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, and is available with either 8GB or 16GB of storage and 1GB of RAM.

Samsung Electronics has chosen an Intel Corp processor to power a new version of one of its top-tier Android tablets, a source with knowledge of the plans told Reuters, in a major victory for the U.S. chipmaker, which is struggling to find its footing in the mobile market.

Under the agreement, Samsung Electronics will use Intel's Atom-branded processors in its Galaxy Tab3 tablets. The latest move is expected to pave the way for Intel to expand its presence in the rising mobile device market.

Intel has been improving the performance and energy efficiency of its "Atom" and "Core" processors and embracing Google Android, with the hope that it will convince more device makers to use its chips in their products.

Lee Hee-sung, country manager at Intel Korea, is ready to back the headquarters' drive for mobile processors as he hinted at launching a full-scale promotional campaign to push leading consumer electronics firms including LG Electronics to buy its Atom processors.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is expected to be unveiled at the 2013 Computex conference during the first week of June in Taiwan.

Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 3 8.0.  Samsung says the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 was "built to be the leading 10-inch tablet in the market." However, the fact that its 10.1 inch display only has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution doesn't go too well with the "leading" part. Anyway, other features include: LTE connectivity, 3MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 6,800 mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, 16GB / 32GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a dual-core 1.6GHz processor. The processor manufacturer wasn't unveiled, but it's most probably Intel.

Officially announced only in a white color version, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is going to be released around the world this month. And it seems that it will also be sold in a "golden brown" version.

Leaking expert Evleaks did it again, he posted an image showing the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 in golden brown, unfortunately without providing any details on it.

Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 in golden brown features Android Jelly Bean, a 1024 x 600 pixels display, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 3MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 8GB / 16GB of internal memory, a 4,000 mAh battery, and MicroSD card support.

From previous rumored, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 8GB could cost around $200.

If you're in the market for a tablet and don't fancy the Nexus line, Samsung is now asking for your money. The new Galaxy Tab 3 devices are for sale in the US. These devices come in 7, 8, and 10.1-inch versions.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 costs just $199.99, putting it safely in the budget tablet category - for that price, buyers get a tablet with a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 LCD display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage with microSD storage up to 64 GB. The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 comes with a larger display and a higher price point of $299.99 - for that, you get 1280 x 800 display resolution on an 8-inch screen, a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, 1.5 GB RAM and 16 GB expandable internal storage. Specs-wise, the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3 may actually be the most impressive member of the Tab 3 family, which is quite strange considering the Tab 10.1's specifications.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 does come with the fastest processor among the three - a dual-core, 1.6 GHz Intel Clover Trail - but it also comes with similar 1280 x 800 resolution to the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3, and it only features 1 GB RAM under the hood. Internal storage is an expandable 16 GB, just like the 8-incher. Strangely, Samsung has also made the 10.1-inch Tab 3 incrementally expensive by $100, as this device costs $399.99. Both the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and 10.1 ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, while the 7-inch edition includes Android 4.1.2 out of the box.

All three devices' features include a physical home button, much like Samsung's handsets, but a departure from the Galaxy Tab 2 line.

Samsung officially announced its Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition. The special edition tablet comes bundled with a desktop dock and a Bluetooth keyboard.  This combo works with Samsung's aim for this season's collection of students from sea to sea, pushing this "Student Edition" to the United States through brick-and-mortar stores like Office Max and Best Buy.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition is priced at $349.99 and is currently available in Best Buy, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Toys ‘R' Us, BJ's, P.C. Those who buy the new Galaxy Tab 3 in its 7-inch, 8-inch, or 10-inch variety or a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition get the Boingo WiFi access, three months of Hulu, plus the newly-added free Dropbox storage. But the Google Play credit is dropped to $10, and there's no WatchON credit.

Even so, the Dropbox storage is worth about $120 based on their Pro pricing, and if you really do choose a Samsung tablet over the compelling alternatives, this should make your new hardware all the sweeter.

However, it seems the offer is good for U.S. customers only, so others are out of luck. The promotion will run until September 30, and is available with purchases from any U.S. retailer. Hit the source link for more details.

Samsung wants you to pay special attention to its latest Super AMOLED screen display by release this TV commerical, see below.  The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S has raised a lot of eyebrows with its impressive Super AMOLED screen of 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution.

Super AMOLED screens were usually criticised for displaying over-saturated colours.  However, the new variant of Super AMOLED display used in the Galaxy Tab S can reproduce accurate colours when set to ‘Basic' screen mode.

Younghee Lee, Executive VP of Global Marketing of Samsung Electronics had said, "There is no other tablet on the market that can compete with the unrivaled viewing experience, innovative design aesthetics, and industry-leading productivity features of the Galaxy Tab S".

If you haven't heard, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 are already available in the US since last week for $399 and $499 respectively.

It looks like Samsung will soon reveal a successor to its Galaxy Tab S line-up (Galaxy Tab S 8.4 - Galaxy Tab S 10.5). The upcoming 2015 line-up will be called "Samsung Galaxy Tab S2" and Samsung around opted to use 4:3 aspect ratios this time, favored by Apple for all of its iPads, and by Google recently for the Nexus 9.

The Leaked Specifications belongs to Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 (Model number SM-T815) which will pack a 9.7-inch touchscreen with 2,048x1,536 resolution, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, an 8MP rear camera, and a 2MP front snapper. Ignore the 9.6" listing for screen size, as this particular benchmark can get that wrong sometimes.

The Tab S2 runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, and it's powered by one of Samsung's own Exynos chipsets, which has a big.LITTLE CPU configuration, with four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53 ones. The maximum clock speed is 1.9 GHz. The GPU is a hexa-core Mali-T760MP6. So the SoC has been updated from the Exynos 5420 in the original Tab S tablets, which had older Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 cores. Meanwhile, the RAM amount has stayed the same, as have the cameras.

We might see this 9.7 Tab S2 released officially during the Q2,2015, it may get announced on March,1st along with the Galaxy S6.

According to SamMobile, two of Samsung's popular devices are getting Jelly Bean updates now.  The Samsung Galaxy S II i9100P and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0.  Both updates are OTA (over-the-air), as well as through Samsung Kies.

In case you're wondering, the Galaxy S II i9100P comes with an NFC chip, unlike the regular S II i9100. And speaking of the i9100, Jelly Bean updates for it have started in January.

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus P6200 is currently available only in Austria. But more countries should follow shortly.

Some of the Enhancements in the new Jelly Bean Update:

- Buttery Smooth Performance & Great Stability (Thanks to Project Butter)
- Full User Interface Revamp (Same UI as of the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II)
- TouchWiz Nature UX
- Samsung's S Cloud services
- Improved Camera features
- New Lockscreen With Many Customization Options
- New Features like Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play
- New Widgets (From Galaxy S III)
- 2 Home screen modes
- New Notification bar With More Notification Toggles
- Google Now
