Although Samsung is currently the leader in device shipments last year and the first quarter of this year, its nearest competitor, Apple, is not so far behind. In fact, it has posted strong sales on the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini, despite lower demands on its newest iPhone.
The Cupertino Company shipped a total of 20.3% of its devices in the last quarter of 2012, whereas Samsung reportedly shipped 21.2%. The increase in the shipment was attributed to the introduction of the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini, which are still selling quite well at present.
These figures will surely set new records when the Samsung Galaxy S IV has also been launched and sold in the market. The Korean Company is making sure that their shipment percentage will take a big leap once their flagship phone starts selling in the market.
Jimmy Kimmel's show likes to humor the ordinary user's ignorance from time to time and show it for everyone to see. Just like the show did last year when the iPhone 5 was unveiled - asking people on the street if they like the new iPhone when they actually got to try an iPhone 4.
This year Jimmy Kimmel's show decided to step things up and inquired people how they feel about the iPhone 5s while handing them an, wait for it, iPad mini.
If these people really are random people off of the street, and not paid actors, we can understand not being aware of what would set apart the new iPhone from the last, but to believe that an iPad mini is an iPhone takes a special kind of ignorance about technology.

Users just need to connect the remote via Bluetooth and they can use the phone remotely. This remote is now offered in China which its flagship device and any user having HTC butterfly can buy it. This remote is really beneficial in a way that it minimizes the chances of the phone being snatched as its one of the lucrative phones these days. If the phone is plugged into HDTV, HTC mini can even navigate into phone's menus.

The Samsung Galaxy SIII mini, which went on sale in the UK on Thursday, includes a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera and also the Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating-system.
Despite being called 'mini', the handset includes a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display. Additionally, it has all of the staple smartphone features, including Bluetooth (4.0), Wi-Fi, GPS and HSPA connectivity, as well as access to the Android app store. In addition to these essential elements, the S3 mini carries a number of the Samsung-specific features available on its larger sibling.
"This compact version features the ability to understand human gestures, S Voice, which supplies customised commands, along with Direct Call, which allows customers to automatically call that person simply in the motion of lifting the phone with their ear... to create a competent and natural consumer experience," Samsung said in the statement.
Carphone Warehouse offers the unit for free on the Orange network on deals of £20.50 each month, using a two-year commitment. Amazon UK is selling the handset SIM-free for just under £300, nevertheless the online retailer is still listing the device as on pre-order, with an earliest ship date of 17 November.

As you may already know, Samsung will be releasing additional color options for the Samsung Galaxy S III mini, such as grey, red and black. We have put them all together below for you to take a good look at them.
Although the Samsung has yet to come forward with an official announcement, there have been quite a few leaks that showed the new colors for the Galaxy S III mini. This morning SamMobile, the popular site have just leaked another picture of the Galaxy S III mini in Titan Grey, Garnet Red and Onyx Black.
These three new colors add to the already available white and blue options. No word on availability yet, but we will keep an eye out for this one.
Samsung Galaxy S III mini ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, 1GB of RAM and a large 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display.
From GLBenchmark database, it seems like Samsung will likely to be releasing a version called Samsung Note 8. Specs including an 8-inch Super Clear display and a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and feature 2GB RAM, HSPA+ support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, 5MP and 1.3MP cameras, 16 or 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot and of course, the same S Pen just like the other Galaxy Note models.
So how well the purported Galaxy Note 8.0 would do against the iPad mini will come down to price. Unfortunately, that's one piece of info that did not leak to SamMobile, so we'll just have to wait to find out how aggressively Samsung would price the tablet. $249 would be a possibility?
Not really big news, but we want to let you know that Samsung is coming out with a tweaked version of the Galaxy S III mini, that adds in support for Samsung's S Beam system, pairing NFC and WiFi-Direct for speedy data transfers, Samsung says a 10MB music file can be shuttled over in around two seconds. U.K. is bound to be among the first markets to get the upgraded variant.
Other than that, no other hardware alterations have been done to the device. The Samsung Galaxy S III mini with NFC packs the same dual-core processor running at 1GHz and a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with WVGA resolution, a 5-megapixel camera that can shoot 720p video and a front-facing cam for video chats. Android 4.1 comes pre-loaded on the device.
Samsung looks like it wants to introduce a Galaxy S IV Mini despite how many people were quite disappointed with the S III Mini's capabilities last year, which is nothing like its "big brother's" at all and falls short of being spectacular. Many thought that they'd much rather buy the more popular Galaxy Ace smartphones, since they have very similar features.
The impending official announcement for the Samsung Galaxy S IV stirred the tech world and a lot of speculations were made regarding the introduction of an S IV Mini. What with the buzz about Samsung's "secret" Project J Mini, it looks like the rumors might actually be true.
No reports exist as to what features the Galaxy S IV Mini will have, but it better be similar to its bigger version, or Samsung will risk another disappointment over another "mini version" of its flagship smartphone. This means specs that are near the bigger version's 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, quad core processor, 2GB memory and a 13MP camera. If Samsung can come up with a mini version of all of that, then plenty of people just might buy an extra smartphone.
Samsung and Apple have always been in a tight race to smart devices supremacy and each has attracted droves of following all over the world. Each company will take a swipe at each other whenever they can and it's interesting and definitely most entertaining. The latest? Samsung thinks Note 8.0 is better than the iPad Mini because of several reasons.
According to the Korean giant, the Note 8.0 is waaaay better because it has a quad processor, is capable of multi-tasking, and has a stylish stylus! (Cheer!) It even went out of its way to create a poster for the jab aimed at the Apple A Pad Mini. It's also possible that they were talking about a different brand of device.
Kidding aside, Samsung has really topped its performance with high-profile devices and innovative technologies. It is so successful that even Google is already taking notice of its important niche in the Android market. With that said, here's hoping they'll hire a new publicist or a marketing manager who has better grammar next time.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S IV mini has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD with a pixel density of 256ppi in addition to a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, it's based on Samsung's TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 running the latest version of Android, 4.2.2. It's slightly bigger than the ongoing Galaxy S III mini, which features a 4" display of WVGA resolution.
The Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9190) will be available in a dual-SIM version as well, likely carrying the Galaxy S4 mini duos moniker and GT-I9192 model number.
According to the source the Galaxy S4 mini is expected to make its debut in June or July this year.
An image of the Galaxy S4 Mini model appeared on twitter yesterday after it was listed on the Samsung support website.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S4 Mini is expected to have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD 960 × 540 display with a pixel density of 256ppi. It is also said to have a 1.6GHz dual-core processor and is running the latest version of Android, 4.2.2.
The Galaxy S4 mini is expected to be launched during summer in June / July.
Samsung introduces new colors of the S 3 Mini in the UK, following a successful launch of its flagship device last March 14th. Carphone Warehouse reports that it has added a white S 3 Mini called La Fleur, with its flower decals on the side and they have also included Garnett Red on their selection.
Samsung has been known to introduce various colors for its devices to cater to the young and hip. This just goes to show that the company is really keen on updating its products, whether or not they are flagship, mid-range or low-end devices.
The S 3 Mini in these new colors will set you back monthly around £12.50 for six months and £25 thereafter. Phone costs £269.99 without a contract if you do not like getting tied to a particular carrier too long.
Screen shots that show Samsung's new Exynos 5210 were leaked over the net, which shows that the company might be developing it for the S 4 Mini. No further details were exposed but the chip will feature big.LITTLE technology by ARM. If this pushed through, it will consist of quad core processors, with both the dual Cortex A-15 and A-7 cores to split various levels of processing.
Since the recently-released Galaxy S 4 features octa-core processors, the Galaxy S Mini might be a quad-core device. It will reportedly have a 4.3-inch display that uses Super AMOLED technology. It might also have a dual-SIM, dual-core variant, which many will find useful, since they won't have to keep two separate phones for different carriers. The expected time of launch for this "diminutive" S 4 is on summer.
A new tablet is coming up at Samsung's camp but it's not the 10.1-inch Full HD AMOLED device that it was originally planning to follow up S 4's release. Instead, an 8-in AMOLED tablet will most likely be launched in response to the iPad Mini and another 7-incher, the Google Nexus 7.
According to the source, this tablet will have a Full HD display at 1920 x 1200 pixels and is to be announced in IFA 2013 in Berlin. Samsung has delayed the bigger tablet to probably concentrate on the upcoming Note III and not let Apple and Google get away with the 7-inch market. It could also be the fact that Samsung is still developing the revolutionary AMOLED that self-adjusts according to the lighting condition and user comfort. A few more months to go and we'll already see these next exciting Samsung products.

The Galaxy Memo will have a 4.5″ FULL HD TFT LCD screen, 1.4 quad core processor, 2GB RAM, 8MP camera Android 4.2.2 and Samsung's own touch-wiz nature UX. Above images and the existence of a Galaxy Memo should have big question marks above them until more solid details arrive. I would take it as a grain of salt for now.

Opera Mini is one of the easiest and simplest browsers to use before high speed wireless connectivity became the norm. Many people actually loved that their GPRS and EDGE-enabled phones were able to surf the net.
You just type in the URL and the website gets compressed and displayed on your phone. Pretty cool during those times considering that phones were not as powerful as those that we have now.
Now that the Opera Mini will be featured along with Amazon Silk in Google Chrome, these browsers will definitely catch the interests of many developers as they are slowly becoming open source. Had Opera Mini done this a long time ago, who knows if it could have developed the way that Mozilla Firefox did?
Also, Opera Mini on EDGE will still be useful for people in countries that do not have high-speed wireless networks.
Paul Semenza, an analyst at DisplaySearch, has surmised in an interview that to beat the iPad Mini to the market, the second generation Nexus 7 may be unveiled even before Apple's higher-resolution device will be launched.
The iPad Mini Retina will possibly be introduced on the third or fourth quarter and will have similar resolution as the iPad 3 and 4. The present iPad is not as smooth as other contemporaries in the market. The Retina technology will double the iPad Mini's pixel density and will really improve the quality of display.
Semenza also mentions potential suppliers for the iPad Mini's display. He didn't mention any for the Nexus 7 but the device will similarly feature a richer display than the last generation. It might also feature HD technology as smaller tablets are somehow going in the same direction as the bigger tablets' display were improved markedly.
