Apple and Samsung customers probably have the greatest rivalry on the planet but a new research proves that Apple users may not be too different from Samsung users. While this statement could elicit a long discussion on the comment section, the study examined iPhone and Galaxy S III users and found out that a big percentage of the users for both group have similar patterns of browsing, calling, emailing and messaging.
The Consumer Intelligence Research Partners surveyed the same number of respondents from both sides and found out that 80% and 90% of users from Apple and Samsung respectively send a number of text messages daily, and 80% and 75% of Apple and Samsung users use their smart phones to browse the net daily. Both kinds of smartphones were used less often on phone calls and emails.
Furthermore, the proponents found out that customers are quite loyal and are more likely buy a device with similar OS as their phones. And in terms of upgrades, 1/11th of Galaxy users were previous iPhone owns, whereas 1/5th iPhone users were previous S III owners. This might very well change this year with S 4's introduction. Simply put, results just probably differ because of the timing of the introduction of a new device from either company.

If the HTC One is just too small for your needs, how about the HTC T6, a 5.9-inch HTC device code-named the T6 is purportedly in development.
It's rumored that HTC is planning to launch a 5.9 inch Full HD Android device, currently codenamed T6. According to EVleaks, the HTC T6 will come with a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Boom Sound speakers, an Ultrapixel rear camera, 2.1MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal memory, and a 3300 mAh battery. It's said that the T6 will run the unreleased Android Key Lime Pie.
The HTC One already encroached on Samsung's Android dominance with the Galaxy S4, but based on newly leaked specs, HTC is thinking bigger.
While the phablet game has largely been Samsung's to lose at this point, the supposed specs for the T6 might finally give the Note series a run for its money.
A pink Samsung Galaxy S III that recently showed up in South Korea has now been made official. It's only available for the South Koreans for now. The pink Galaxy S III includes 32 GB of storage. It'll be available tomorrow, on September 26. Obviously Samsung is aiming it at the younger crowd along with women.
The pink superphone will be available on all of Korea's three operators, but only 100,000 units will be produced. Maybe the company is hoping for some Apple-style lines outside of the stores tomorrow. We'll see how that plays out.
Samsung has also mentioned that it's managed to sell over 3 million Galaxy S III units in its home market alone. That's a pretty impressive feat in a country with 50 million inhabitants.
Yesterday Samsung added the iPhone 5 to the patent lawsuit against Apple as well as other manufacturers. This comes Apple was awarded $1 billion for Samsung's infringements. But sales of Samsung's flagship Samsung galaxy s III haven't been hurt and appearance to have been helped by the news. The powerhouse Android device saw average growth of 9% in new devices every week since August 1st, with huge spikes in Galaxy S III adoption occurring following your Apple lawsuit verdict and after the iPhone 5 announcement.
The first spike in weekly growth coincides with the exact same week that a jury awarded Apple $1 billion for Samsung infringing on Apple's patents. The deluge of post-litigation press coverage both drove general focus on Samsung and suggested that Samsung devices were similar enough to iPhones to be an option for many consumers.
The 2nd spike started the week of September 12, when Apple announced the brand new iPhone 5. Apple's announcement was quickly accompanied by hundreds of stories comparing the 2 phones, most of which again suggested these folks were similarly capable. That with the slowdown in new Galaxy S3 growth seen leading up to Apple's announcement (week-over-week new devices were the same as the previous week, leading to 0% growth) suggest that many consumers were waiting to listen to about the new iPhone prior to making a decision.
Note that the typical week-over-week growth of 9% means that weekly 9% more Galaxy S3 handsets were added compared to week before. This means that the growth effects are cumulative, so as the Samsung device's weekly new device growth slowed some weeks, it is still adding handsets at a remarkable rate.
Samsung has come up with a quick and simple list of U.S. smartphones which are either getting or are required to receive their Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. As of today it basically provides a placeholder or jumping off point for several Galaxy S III models along with a trio of Nexus devices spread over Sprint and Verizon. Still, this can be a good place for you to definitely bookmark and come back to once in a while. Hopefully we have seen the Galaxy S II and a few other products find the list down the road.
According to recent chatter it appears that some U.S. carriers might be ready to deploy their Android 4.1 update before long.
I assume at least one of the above-mentioned carriers will start rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly bean update before the end of October. Let's see.
The Samsung Galaxy SIII mini, which went on sale in the UK on Thursday, includes a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera and also the Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating-system.
Despite being called 'mini', the handset includes a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display. Additionally, it has all of the staple smartphone features, including Bluetooth (4.0), Wi-Fi, GPS and HSPA connectivity, as well as access to the Android app store. In addition to these essential elements, the S3 mini carries a number of the Samsung-specific features available on its larger sibling.
"This compact version features the ability to understand human gestures, S Voice, which supplies customised commands, along with Direct Call, which allows customers to automatically call that person simply in the motion of lifting the phone with their ear... to create a competent and natural consumer experience," Samsung said in the statement.
Carphone Warehouse offers the unit for free on the Orange network on deals of £20.50 each month, using a two-year commitment. Amazon UK is selling the handset SIM-free for just under £300, nevertheless the online retailer is still listing the device as on pre-order, with an earliest ship date of 17 November.
Network operator Three said the Galaxy S3 mini come in its stores from Friday, and will be entirely on its website from 16 November.

Seems like Samsung Galaxy S III in Titanium Gray will be released by T-Mobile as early as next week. The gray Samsung Galaxy S III won't just be an added color option in the magenta carrier's portfolio. Instead, the 16 GB titanium gray device will replace the 16 GB Pubble Blue Galaxy S III. Interestingly, the 32 GB blue version will remain in stock at T-Mobile online, being sold alongside the other options.
If Titanium Gray is your cup of tea and you haven't gotten the Galaxy S3 yet, here's your chance. No price was provided but if we had to guess, we'd say it'll be the same price as the Pebble Blue model.

As you may already know, Samsung will be releasing additional color options for the Samsung Galaxy S III mini, such as grey, red and black. We have put them all together below for you to take a good look at them.
Although the Samsung has yet to come forward with an official announcement, there have been quite a few leaks that showed the new colors for the Galaxy S III mini. This morning SamMobile, the popular site have just leaked another picture of the Galaxy S III mini in Titan Grey, Garnet Red and Onyx Black.
These three new colors add to the already available white and blue options. No word on availability yet, but we will keep an eye out for this one.
Samsung Galaxy S III mini ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, 1GB of RAM and a large 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display.
As posted on SamsungTomorrow.com, an official Global Blog, Samsung went ahead an explain the true reason behind replcing Galaxy S III Pebble Blue Covers.
The blog post goes on to explain the flurry of stress and confusion that swept over the company's various departments. It's easy to see why delaying such a huge swath of product could cause worry, the Galaxy S3's launch was built around the concept of a single device launching in as many markets as possible all at once. Any delay would essentially kill the entire effort.
To give Samsung credit, Samsung is trying hard to keeping its promise to customers. Read rest of the story, please go to the link below.
Korea Times just coming out with rumors that the Galaxy Note III will be running Exynos 5 Octa, an eight-core processor, one chipset combines four high-performance cores with four low-consumption ones to achieve what Samsung describes as the best of all worlds.
Expected to be launching second half of 2013, the Galaxy Note III set to clock it at a whopping great 6.3 inches in size, blow away the 5.5 inch Samsung Galaxy Note II in terms of screen size, it would also be a little bigger than Huawei's Ascend Mate.
Do you think 6.3 inche screen is too big? Let me know in the comments below.

Reported by Engadget, if you have a Galaxy S III with AT&T, you had the chance to download and install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean since last month, but the rollout wasn't so mooth and it was only limited to updates using Samsung Kies. Not OTA (over-the-air).
Finally, AT&T has Engadget that an OTA (over-the-air) update will be available beginning today to anyone who is still using Ice Cream Sandwich, though it'll require a WiFi connection. Still, this is a much better situation for the vast majority of Samsung Galaxy S III owners who may not have even realized that an update was even offered to them in the first place.
Not really big news, but we want to let you know that Samsung is coming out with a tweaked version of the Galaxy S III mini, that adds in support for Samsung's S Beam system, pairing NFC and WiFi-Direct for speedy data transfers, Samsung says a 10MB music file can be shuttled over in around two seconds. U.K. is bound to be among the first markets to get the upgraded variant.
Other than that, no other hardware alterations have been done to the device. The Samsung Galaxy S III mini with NFC packs the same dual-core processor running at 1GHz and a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with WVGA resolution, a 5-megapixel camera that can shoot 720p video and a front-facing cam for video chats. Android 4.1 comes pre-loaded on the device.

Sprint users will definitely be glad to receive firmware updates for their Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S III smartphones. These separate updates are expected to improve phone security and offer a few bug fixes.
Updating your Galaxy S III will also ensure better voicemail application and calendar syncing. The new firmware, by the L719VPMA6 update will also now be able to support 3-digit text messaging.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 2 will have better phone security once updated using the L900VPAMA7, which deters circumvention of Exynos security.
Updates for notifications may not be seen right away but you can always check manually. There are also plenty of forums and news will certainly come out if Sprint already releases firmware update packages for these two units over the air. But it definitely won't be too long until they come out.
Samsung and Apple launched new flagship smartphones in 2012 with the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Apple iPhone 5, and each smartphone is still widely regarded as "top of the line" within the larger marketplace.
According to ad network Chitika's latest traffic study, Samsung's Galaxy S3 has caught the iPhone 5 in terms of the amount of Internet traffic it generates. The findings are drawn from "tens of millions of U.S. and Canadian smartphone mobile ad impressions" this month.
Chitika said that in October 2012, Apple's latest iPhone enjoyed an 8-point lead in Web traffic share over Samsung's Galaxy. Now, it's down to one point, according to the ad network.
The charts above reflects the comparative shares of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Apple iPhone 5 when looking only at traffic coming from the two devices.

The Galaxy S III has recently been confirmed to have been upgraded to the newest Jelly Bean with TouchWiz user interface as shown by the latest leak to come out from SamMobile. The TouchWiz UI on the Galaxy S III is said to look more useful than stock Android's, which surprised many and was met by mixed reactions from people who liked the stock and TouchWiz.
Generally, some liked the quick toggles, while some remain true stock Android fans and thought that the TouchWiz UI is "not pretty".
Voice control and notification toggles were also added, with improved "ripple effect" on the locked display and other small additions.
However, it wasn't mentioned or shown if the newest version will allow S III to have the newest photo editing app Samsung Orb or any additions/omissions on PhotoSphere. You can flash international S III (i9300) by following the instructions at SamMobile. Make sure that you have the correct version before doing so.

Samsung may be basking in glory for being the number one manufacturer of smart devices but even this tech giant is not excused from making a few mistakes, once in a while. Savvy Galaxy S III users have recently found out that they can actually circumvent the screenlock by pressing the "Emergency Call"-"Emergency Contacts"-"Home button"-"Power". When done correctly, these successive steps will take you to the Home Screen.
Interestingly, Apple had a similar issue with its iPhone that lets users to bypass the passcode page. Samsung will definitely do something about it on the next software update. On the other hand, this can actually be useful for those who forgot their passwords. Many people were jesting that perhaps the Cupertino Giant can now sue Samsung for stealing their lockscreen bypass as well. Trust Android and Apple users to be creative.
Again, for those wanting to verify whether their own devices are vulnerable, McMillian's instructions are as follows:
- On the code entry screen, press Emergency Call
- Press Emergency Contacts
- Press the Home button once
- Just after pressing the Home button, press the power button quickly
- If successful, pressing the power button again will bring you to the S3's home screen.

Samsung Galaxy S 3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 by US Cellular will finally be updated to the MB1 build. This includes a few improvements and additions to the present build and promises an upgrade to the latest Android Jelly Bean.
The S 3 will most possibly have some bugs fixed and a few enhancements on audio during streaming. There will also be some additional capabilities for the camera, which will appeal to those who love continuous shooting.
On the other hand, there is no information given as to what upgrades or additions will be provided to the Note 2, since it already runs on the latest Jelly Bean. Also, it should be easier to flash Samsung devices when the update finally goes over the air. As such, always back up your phone and ensure that you got your phone's version correctly prior to downloading anything.

According to Eldar Murtazin, the Samsung Galaxy S III remains to be quite the popular smartphone in terms of Samsung sales because instead of being left out post-S 4 launch, it will actually receive upgrades and updates.
Samsung is said to be improving the S III, giving it a more powerful battery than the original and a better display screen. No additional information as to how they will make the screen "better," but judging from the way it sounds, it's all good. In addition, the new S III will also have wireless charging capability.
For now, it is safe to say that this will be the Galaxy S III Plus, based on Samsung's penchant for reissuing their old flagships with better specs. Another good news is that the S III will apparently have a better price, which will help reach to a bigger range of customers.
There is no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy S IV has brought plenty of new things to the table, as Samsung continues to improve its user interface that is based on Android. Intriguingly, Samsung does not pertain to its UI as TouchWiz anymore, nor do we still hear "Nature UI" to refer to it, which could mean that they might be planning to introduce a new or improved UI, don't you think?
Also, this is good news for other Samsung devices that have been consistently selling strongly in the market. The Galaxy S III and the Note II will also receive upgrades and will have some similar features to the S IV, according to Samsung.
Furthermore, these devices might already be getting the Andriod Jelly Bean 4.2 roll out and along with the added features, these devices will ensure improved user experience.

Samsung CEO JK Shin has recently announced that the Galaxy S III has breached its 50 million mark since it was introduced in May last year. This is an impressive feat that the Galaxy S IV now has to beat. The CEO announced it on the same day he appointed co-CEOs for its different business divisions. Also, during the conference, Samsung had nothing but praises for Android as well as Google, ubut announces that it will be phasing out its Ativ tablet because of lack of demand for Windows-based phones.
Weeks before the Galaxy S IV was unveiled in New York on March 14th, Samsung confidently puts the 100M sales objective for the new flagship device. If any of the rumors about what it can do are true, this might be a reasonable objective to have for the S IV.
Beating S III's sales of over 50 million is already an achievement in itself, all the more if the S IV breaches the 100 million mark. That will surely make the news.

Samsung releases a photo that hints on a 6.3-inch device. As to whether this will be Note III or a different one remains in question. The poster shows a photo of the Game Pad and specifically states that it is available in 4-6.3-inch sizes. Samsung does not have this type of device at present although rumors have been around that the next Galaxy Note will be offered with a whopping 6-inch display and this just might be the first of, we're sure, many hints, from Samsung and other speculators.
Also, we are unsure if Samsung means that the Game Pad will come in various sizes or if it will come in an expandable unit that can carry devices 4-6.3-inch in size. This accessory allows anyone to enjoy their games with action buttons, a dual-analog stick and the works. In the meantime, let's just wait for more hints and juicy info on the upcoming Galaxy Note III.
In the following weeks or months, the next most anticipated device from Samsung, the Galaxy Note III, will get its fair share of rumors and news until it gets launched. First up is its pilot testing, which will be attended by AT&T executives, according to Koreatimes insider.
A prototype will be demonstrated in front of a select panel, including the Chief Marketing Officer for the US carrier. New marketing strategies will reportedly be laid out for the 5.9-incher.
Although this proves the possible release of a new Galaxy Note version in the near future, others are quite peeved because a rumor is going on that another phablet was going to be introduced that was 6.7 inches in size.
Others think that Samsung should focus more on their core high-end products than setting out to create various versions for their mid- and low-range clients and making various sizes of their devices. Whatever the Korean giant's plan is with the Note 3 still remains to be seen and should be revealed to us little by little in "staged" or even "accidental" leaks, much like it was with the S 4. Just sit tight.

Samsung might just introduce new flagship devices on the yearly Berlin electronics event, the IFA. It also looks like that would be the event where the Galaxy Tab 3 and Note 3 will both be unfolded, since no news on the exact date of their announcement exists yet. Furthermore, Samsung loves to introduce new products or technology on international trade events as part of their marketing campaign.
The next IFA will be held on first to second week of September and it looks to match the period or date that we heard from an insider that they will introduce these devices only on the second half of 2013.
These devices are also expected to draw in crowds as many as those who attended the S 4 unveiling last March 14th.
The Tab 3 might also have two variants, like what has been going on for a while now on the rumor mill. On the other hand as opposed to earlier reported rumors that the Note 3 will go over 6 inches, it will only measure 5.9 inches, based on the prototype that will be revealed to AT&T execs later this week.

Carphone Warehouse stays true to its word and offers the Galaxy S III Mini with a freebie that even the non-fans would find difficult to resist. Buying an S III Mini from this retailer in the UK will also get you a 7-incher Galaxy Tab 2 for free-no strings attached.
Plans for the S III Mini start at £22 monthly on O2 and a bit more if you want an Orange or a Vodafone plan. This 4-inch smartphone runs on a dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and 5MP camera on the back. Also, it comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, which may be upgraded to the 4.2 version.
Although the Galaxy Tab 2 is not the latest in the market, it is still a good deal, considering you will only have to pay for one device to get both. Furthermore, the Galaxy Tab 2 is a trustworthy device that is perfect for those who want to try their hand on a capable Android tablet.

The only problem with any device that comes out after the HTC One is that they really need to look as good as or possibly even better than the HTC flagship smartphone. Rumor has it that the Galaxy Note 3's build quality is being improved after HTC One "rocked" Samsung's core and made them realized that they're using plastic their device needs a better build quality to top HTC One sales. Not that they can be compared, since these are two very different devices.
Case in point, HTC One's design is really fabulous. However, to each his own as some people may like plastic, while some will prefer anodized aluminum material but it cannot be denied that many are complaining about Samsung's polycarbonate plastic design and the company just might be contemplating about resolving this on their next device's release, for once.
Furthermore, the reason why Samsung uses plastic is because it is cheaper and quicker to mass produce, as opposed to metal units. It will be interesting to see if Samsung will actually shift to producing metal phones and tablets and how it will affect their pricing. As of now, the company enjoys pricing their products as expensively as devices that are considered to have better build quality.
Despite persistent rumors about Galaxy Note III having a flexible glass display, Samsung hints that it won't be possible to mass produce the flexible display as quickly as they plan to and the demand for the Note III can potentially equal that of the Galaxy S 4. Furthermore, according to ET News, Samsung is searching for alternatives to its "encapsulation technology" because the units take too long to manufacture with their "Vitex System" and time is of essence because they want to meet their sales target for the year.
There is no official announcement on the specs of the Galaxy Note III yet but expect Samsung to do so during the IFA 2013 in Berlin. But Samsung will most likely work on its devices' designs following the success of the sleek and streamlined HTC One, which, according to rumors, Samsung is really jealous of. Bring on the smartphone wars! In the end, when the competition is tough, manufacturers tend to outdo each other with more innovative products and features.

Thanks to AndroidPolice, there's currently a great deal running on eBay on the Galaxy S3 unlocked. White and red are already sold out, but the blue and black variants are still available.
If you don't plan on getting the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S3 is the great choice for the price. Samsung Galaxy S3 is still a very capable handset that will likely continue to be well supported by Samsung over the coming months as far as software updates are concerned.
Image above was leaked on online by Mydrivers, according to a report from them, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III will feature a Full HD display and packs a punch with the company's own Exynos 5410 Octa processor, with the four powerful Cortex A15 chips clocked at 2.0 GHz, and the remaining four power-saving Cortex A7 chips running at 1.7 GHz.
Samsung Galaxy Note III is said to come with 3 GB of RAM and will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Furthermore, the phablet is rumored to be unveiled during IFA 2013. We will be looking to that event.
We should hope that Samsung could solve the problem and use the flexible display design as LG wants to bring their own smartphone at the end of the year with such a display.

Vodafone has announced the Vodafone Smart III, its latest affordable Android handset for those on a budget.
Following the line of own-brand devices, the new Smart III comes with a 4-inch 800 x 480 pixel resolution display. That might make for a slightly soft rendering of the Android Jelly Bean operating system, but at this price you can hardly complain.
The Smart III features a 5 MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, a 1 GHz single-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and all the usual connectivity options.
The Vodafone Smart III only priced at £95 on Pay as you go.

The leaked image which was uploaded to the Picasa web albums has a resolution of 2322 x 4128 pixels, which is what a 13MP sensor produces in 16:9 mode. This means that Samsung will again equip its flagship smartphone and phablet with identical camera modules - a tradition that has been going since the first Galaxy Note came to life.
The photo's EXIF data shows an f/2.2 aperture and a 31mm lens, which again is the same as the Galaxy S4's setup. Some reports had previously suggested the Note 3 would feature image stabilisation, bringing it inline with current top-shelf offerings from Nokia, but this has yet to be confirmed.
We think a Q3 2013 release could be on the cards - slightly later than its 2012 Galaxy Note August release date, but developing a 6.3-inch OLED display can't be easy work!
Pricing on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is yet to even be rumoured, but we think it will probably be more expensive than the Galaxy Note 2. After all, the screen is much larger.

Samsung, most likely, will announce Galaxy Note 3 in early September, just before IFA trade show.
Samsung Galaxy Note III is a device that many folks are looking forward to, as Samsung has managed to prove that there's market for phablets - you just have to do (market) it right. The company has also re-convinced many people that there's still use for a stylus. For a couple of months or so now, we've been gathering all kinds of intriguing details about the upcoming Note III, which is to be unveiled at IFA 2013 in September.
The Galaxy Note III is expected to have an octa-core Exynos 5420/quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 1080p display of 5.7-6″, a 13-megapixel camera possibly with optical image stabilization, LTE-A (LTE-Advanced) connectivity, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with an improved TouchWiz UI.
Please take this as a grain of Salt as we don't know how fake this picture is.
Looks like T-Mobile's Galaxy S3 would not be updated to Android 4.2.2, instead getting the latest 4.3 Jelly Bean build. I guess it's good news for those who wants to get the latest and greatest software updates.
Both the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II - introduced as flagship devices last year - are currently running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. And it makes perfect sense for Samsung to start preparing Android 4.3 updates - now that this version is out.
Together with previous rumors so it is unlikely that there is an update to Android 4.2.2 and Samsung devices both with and without branding devices directly update to Android 4.3. therefore remains is the great question of "when".
Earlier this week Samsung sent out invitations to an Unpacked 2013: Episode 2 event that's taking place on Sept. 4, and while the company didn't exactly come right out and say it, it's fairly likely that the Galaxy Note III will be making its big debut there.
Samsung's global website currently hosts a set of instructions on how to use SideSync, a piece of software that enables a user to hook their Samsung-made Android device up to a computer and share screens and data between the two. An Android fan has found that the SideSync instructions are littered with references to the "Galaxy Note III." According to the documentation, the SideSync app will come preloaded on Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Launch dates for the device are not yet available.

It will apparently run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean from day one, but we already knew that.
As you can see, we're yet to have a clear picture of what the Galaxy Note 3 will have to offer, even though we see some of the same specs repeated over and over in new reports. The Galaxy Note 3 will be officially unveiled on September 4, during a special media event in Berlin, Germany.
Here are the specs: SM-N900

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note III and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch are all but confirmed to be ready for an official unveiling on September 4th, and today we've received the shipping dates for both devices in our mailbox - the third-generation Note will start shipping in the same month it is announced, while the smartwatch will arrive in the market from October.
The Galaxy Gear is Samsung's first attempt at making a smartwatch. Reportedly, it features a 1.67 inch AMOLED display with 320 x 320 pixels, NFC, 1GB of RAM, and an Exynos 4212 processor.
The Galaxy Note III seemingly features a 5.68 inch Full HD display, 13MP rear camera, 3GB of RAM, and a 3,200 mAh battery. The LTE version (model number SM-N9005) uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, while the non-LTE one (SM-N900) comes with Samsung's new Exynos 5420 Octa.

The Galaxy Note III will flaunt a 5.68-inch Full HD Super AMOLED (1920 x 1080) display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 / octa-core Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of minimum built-in storage and a microSD slot, 13-megapixel rear camera, a 3,200mAh battery, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
According to SamMobile, which broke the news about the Gear smartwatch colors yesterday, the Samsung Galaxy Note III is planned to initially launch in black and white, as you would expect. But, apparently in late October there will be another color to be released: pink. Maybe that wouldn't be the most popular color with our readership, but there are very few devices offered in pink, so that would be quite an interesting choice.
To recap:
- Week 36 - Black, white
- Week 43 - Pink
Around May this year, we heard a rumor that the Samsung Galaxy Note III's camera module would sport OIS, but apparently that won't be happening after all. According to reports coming in from South Korea, the Galaxy Note III will not have OIS because of issues with the production of such modules.
Ironically, it's the Galaxy Note III's predicted success in terms of sales that is going to prevent it from coming with this much sought-after feature. Samsung simply couldn't secure as many OIS modules from its suppliers as it needed. So the company really has no choice but to ship the Note III without OIS.
As Samsung Electronics is going full steam ahead with the commercialization of state-of-the-art camera modules, 16-mega-pixel products are expected to become the basic specifications for its premium smartphones next year. The structure of the domestic camera module industry is forecast to go through a big change too.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been the sole supplier of 13-mega-pixel camera module for Samsung Electronics, but Samsung Electronics is expected to increase the number of suppliers next year. If Samsung Electro-Mechanics concentrates in the production of 16-mega-pixel products, the procurement of 13-mega-pixel products will become unstable.
Samsung Electronics has recently increased the number of 8-mega-pixel suppliers to meet Samsung Electro-Mechanics\' production schedule for 13-mega-pixel camera modules. About three months ago, vendors, including Partron, Cammsys and Powerlogics, were approved as suppliers of 8-mega-pixel camera module suppliers. Some of them are working with Samsung Electronics to obtain its approval for 13-mega-pixel products.
AT&T has officially announced the Samsung Samsung galaxy S III Mini, after much delay.
Samsung Galaxy S III Mini will be provided by AT&T as "an choice for customers seeking reasonably limited smartphone experience at an outstanding value." It will likely be sold just for $0.99 on contract. Pre-orders will begin tomorrow, September 19, with the handset likely to be shipped on September 27.

Samsung Galaxy S III and Note II may get Android 4.4 KitKat in March. S4 and Note 3 could be updated in January.
A leaked document, apparently leaked from Samsung India's R&D department, implies that Samsung intends to update the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) and Note 3 (SM-N900) to KitKat in month of january of 2014. The document includes the Samsung Galaxy Note II (SM-N7100) and Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300), will get the latest version from the OS in March or April. As it usually happens, carrier-specific models might not be updated at the same time.
All we can hope is that Samsung takes its time and tests the updates before rolling them out, because, as we saw with the Android 4.3 updates for the Galaxy S III and Galaxy S4, that can result in quite the buggy experience for many users.
Samsung started rolling out Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S III last month, but had to remove the update from its servers due to some unknown issues.
