Tech-money-management

Between the ability to make a purchase from your mobile device at the push of a button to the fear of missing out that can leave you chasing every new iteration of your smartphone, technology has a way of making it easy to spend money. Balancing that is the fact that technology also makes it easier than ever to use your money wisely, get control of your spending habits and build wealth. The tips below can help you use tech for smart money management.

Comparison Shop

Even if you prefer to do your shopping in brick-and-mortar stores, you can look online to compare prices and make sure you're getting the best deal possible. Some products will scan for the best prices after you take a photo of the item or scan its barcode. However, comparison shopping online doesn't stop here. You can look for better rates on auto insurance, lower utility prices and better terms for loans. You can even find good opportunities for refinancing existing loans. These payments can be especially burdensome and the interest can add up over time, but if interest rates have fallen and your credit score has improved recently, you should be able to find lenders willing to refinance your student loan at a lower rate. With lower monthly payments, this can save you a great deal of money over the long term.

Plan for Retirement

Increasingly, Silicon Valley is realizing that they've been ignoring a market of baby boomers who are tech-savvy and maybe even investment-savvy but who still struggle to navigate the unfamiliar waters of retirement. A number of new products are starting to appear that offer a range of services. Time will tell which of these are useful enough to survive, but they include products that help retired people and people approaching retirement understand their options for Medicaid, Social Security and more. This is often unknown territory even for relatively financially sophisticated boomers. Some products offer a free version alongside a paid version that allows users to work with a financial adviser. Others are designed for financial advisers themselves, helping them design options that will create income generation for their retired clients.

Budgeting and Saving

In contrast, programs and apps that help you with budgeting and saving have been around for a while although there are always new and improved products hitting the market. The value of many of these tools is the degree to which they automate the process of tracking your spending and helping you budget. Many offer you the opportunity to connect your bank account. If you make most of your purchases electronically, this can give you a clear picture of your spending. This is handy information to have even if you don't need to do any hard-core budgeting. If you're working to get out of debt, it can be invaluable in helping you understand and change your habits to save more. Using tech can also be a great way to get your children more interested in learning about finances and making responsible choices with money with apps developed particularly for certain age groups that gamify or otherwise make the process fun.

When it comes to our mobile devices we tend to take security for granted. In truth, these devices are open to the dangers of the Internet just like a computer is. This is why you should consider using a VPN when using your device on the Internet.

So, what is a VPN? A Virtual Private Network is a buffer between your connection and the rest of the Internet. When using a VPN, you are able to hide your IP address and use the Internet not only anonymously but also spoofing your location, so as not to give your geolocation away. It also allows you more security on your device too.

Now that we know what a VPN is, this is why you should use one on your mobile device:

Privacy

With your mobile device chances are you are going through many public areas and using their hotspot Internet access. Each time you do this you can be opening up your data to possible hijacking. If you use this device for work, that means that sensitive data could be passed around too. What a VPN does is to protect your connection and your data from outside interception. The fact that your data will be encrypted too also gives that added level of protection that you need.

Connectivity

A mobile VPN can act like a permanent connection to your home or work server. This is beneficial if you enjoy gaming on-the-go. The best Android VPN's connect to your Internet connection, and use that to create a more stable Internet access for your phone. This is always a plus, especially when your online activity requires that reliability.

Spoofing your Location

Through using a VPN in a different area of the world not only do you open up geolocked content, but you also can find that foreign websites open faster. If you visit plenty of foreign sites on your phone, or want to connect to faster game servers around the world then this can prove invaluable.

Flexibility of the VPN

Through the way, you connect to a VPN through your Internet connection rather than through an App, this leads to flexibility in the type of connection you can use. This includes wi-fi, 4G networks and any other connections available to you. It all works on the same protocol.

VPN isn't Used for Phone Calls

Unless you are using a service like Skype, be aware that VPN does not encrypt your phone calls. This is something that you should be aware of when using a VPN service. If you want your calls to go through VPN then be sure to use a IP voice service.

The main reason to use a VPN on your phone is of course security. In this day and age with hacking and cyber-crime seemingly rising in prominence, we have to be aware of the dangers towards our personal data. VPNs are the best way to protect yourself, along with virus scanners and malware checkers of course. Always be aware of the dangers that are out there, and take action against them, so that you can concentrate on the more important task of your mobile device (to have fun).

vpn-android-security-privacy

The short answer to that question would be a yes, but we are going to go into a lot more details and actually point out practical reasons why we should all consider using VPNs on our smartphones.

What Exactly is VPN?

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, which provides anonymity to the user. It makes browsing from any device, be it a computer or a smartphone, safer, more liberated and private.

Smartphones are Our Main Media Consumption Devices Nowadays

The PC can still do things that the smartphone cannot and it's not going to go away any time soon. However, smartphones have mostly dethroned laptops and desktops, as far as media consumption and even gaming is considered.

When you are doing almost everything from accessing Netflix to browsing private websites best left unnamed, then your smartphone is under the same security and privacy threats, that your PC would be.

If you don't want your ISP to find out about the list of websites visited by you, and when you want to keep your location private from prying websites all around the web, a VPN is your best bet, even on a smartphone.

VPN Provides Security through Encryption

Every time you use a public Wi-Fi, your data is at risk of being intercepted by hackers. Wi-Fi signals within a college campus, in a coffee shop, or even private connections which a lot of people have access to, are not safe.

VPN provides protection to your data on unsafe networks, through end-to-end encryption. Not that even encrypted data can't be intercepted, but breaking the encryption is no joke!

Liberated Browsing

China has a very restrictive internetpolicy which doesn't even allow Google, Facebook or Netflix, but if you use a VPN, using the banned sites in China is possible!

Now, we are not saying that the local citizens should do that, because we do not know how the government monitors or punishes such violations, but it would be very, very difficult for even them to know where the user is located. If you are just visiting the country though, having a VPN is a must for your entertainment needs.

Aside from that, any website or service, which doesn't allow your region to access them, or vice-versa, will now open up to your smartphone!

Take Netflix for example, not all content is available in all regions, even though you may have a Netflix subscription. With the help of VPN, you can access any regional content on Netflix with your own account.

Which One Should You Use?

Everything we just discussed are the general benefits of using a VPN on your Android smartphone, but just like everything else, not all VPN providers offer the same quality.

Check out this list of 5 Best VPN apps for Android on ProPrivacy, to know which one would be ideal for you. They are all reliable and does the job pretty well, but depending on where you are located and what your budget is, some may appeal more to you than the others.

As the Internet grows in popularity and the number of users increases every year, your privacy and safety while browsing online becomes increasingly important. VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) are becoming one of the most popular tools to assist with this. At its most simple, a VPN is used to make it appear that you're browsing from anywhere in the world. This is done by replacing the IP address that shows when you're browsing online which, when not changed, can be easily used to locate where you're browsing from and what you're looking at. Using a VPN will allow you to:

1. Encrypt your IP address, making it impossible for people, including your Internet service provider, 3rd party agencies, and any network admins to read or trace.

2. Make your browser more secure from those that may try to hack you through public WiFi networks.

3. Access websites that may be blocked by the country you're browsing from.

This is quickly becoming one of the most popular uses for a VPN. If you live in a country with restricted Internet viewing, a VPN can make it seem that you're browsing from a different country and makes it possible for you to look at otherwise blocked content. This enables you to have free access to information without being restricted, empowering people with freedom of press.

What's a VPN?

To get into a little more detail, a VPN can be split into several core components:

A VPN client: This is the piece of software you can download and use to access a VPN service through your computer or device. This is also called a VPN app.

VPN protocol: This is the process of your computer or device that has your VPN client installed, connecting to a VPN server to access its benefits.

VPN server: This is what the VPN client connects to, so that you can change your IP and have a secure and unrestricted browsing experience.

VPN service: Finally, the VPN service is the company or provider of the VPN that you can access. This company will provide you with the software and instructions to access their VPN server. This might also be called a VPN provider, similar to your Internet service provider, for example.

How does a VPN work?

A VPN uses the steps above to encrypt your Internet browsing experience. A VPN essentially adds an extra step when you're browsing online that happens instantly and in the background, so that you'd never notice. Rather than using the IP of your local server, you instead connect to the VPN server, which could be located in any country. When you then browse the Internet, you can make it look like you're browsing from the USA based on your server address when you're actually located in the UK. This makes your location anonymous, which makes it impossible for websites to collect personal information about you or to identify where you are.

If you don't use a VPN, everything you do online can be traced back to your exact location, as well as the device you're using. This is an apparent invasion of privacy and can also be used for highly direct marketing and to create a profile on who you are and what you're looking at.

VPNs also unblock content around the world. A simple and popular use for this is to watch videos on streaming services that are blocked in different countries. If you're in the UK, you may find that the content on a streaming service is limited compared to those in the USA, even though you pay the same amount each month for access, for example. China is notorious for strict walls around what information people can view to restrict the type of content or press they can see. This can be viewed as a restriction in the freedom to consume information from different points of view, and a VPN breaks down these walls and allows you to view content from different countries and perspectives.

Why should I use a VPN?

There are several main reasons that people choose to use a VPN service:

1. To protect your location and browse online anonymously

2. Encrypt your IP to stop 3rd parties like your ISP or the government from being able to see what you're viewing online.

3. Remove restrictions on what websites you can view online put in place by the country you're browsing from, or that's exclusive to a specific country.

4. Make it possible to stream, download, or torrent media.

5. Save money by changing your location when buying flights.

6. Add a layer of protection from people that try to hack others through public WiFi networks.

7. Protect personal information, including your address, passwords, photos, and card details when browsing online.

Are VPNs safe to use?

Most VPN service providers are generally safe to use, but take some time to browse the options available and read their reviews to ensure you're using a well-known and tested VPN service. There are plenty of good cheap vpn services as long as you do some research. The main VPN services to avoid are the ones that are entirely free to use. These are generally not maintained well and can have issues that might cause a threat to your privacy. One study found that over 80% of free VPN apps you can download on Android devices were found to leak data.

Are VPNs legal?

Across the west and in the developed world, VPNs are completely legal to use, and some huge companies use them every day to protect their own data. If you have a personal VPN, though, use it with care if you travel to places like the Middle East, as some countries dislike the use of VPNs that enable you to bypass the restrictions they have put in place online.

galaxy s6 antenna

Lately, Samsung switched to premium metal frames for its device's body design. The upcoming Galaxy S6 will allegedly join the trend with a metal frame body which will solve the problems that faced Samsung before on the market for using less than premium materials unworthy of upmarket flagship devices. However, Solving one problem typically creates others in the process, and antenna interference is one result of the metal used on the Galaxy S6's body.

A report in Korean media states that Samsung is resorting to the New FPCB antenna technology in the Galaxy S6, aiming to battle the negative effects of the metal frame on signal reception.

galaxy s6

"FPCB" stands for Flexible Printed Circuit Board where thin strips of conductor (copper) are laminated in between two layers of PET polymer. They find wide application in the electronics industry when space constraints limit the use of rigid circuit boards.

The predominantly used type of antennas in recent years are manufactured using the LDS technology, or Laser Direct Structuring. It allows for a precise 3D shape to be modeled, thus fitting in whatever space the engineers find unoccupied in the device. This actually makes it superior to FPCB, the flexibility of which is limited.

Samsung has some big plans when it comes to manufacturing smartphones components and become a backward-integrated phone maker. To that end the Korean giant has started producing and using the display panels, camera sensors, processors, DRAM chips, storage chips, and cellular radios in its smart devices. Now, Samsung is about to start using the touchscreen IC manufactured by its System LSI division.

As per ETNews, it has been three years, since Samsung started the process of making its own touchscreen digitizer, and only recently they decided to go ahead with it in the Galaxy S7. Major thing is that, as per speculations this new digitizer will be used in the Galaxy S7 series of devices. Back in the days, the company used to depend on digitizers manufactured by Synaptics and ST Microelectronics for its high-end devices.

It is anticipated that Samsung will continue to minimize its dependency on third party vendors. Apart from that, as the usage of touchscreen displays is gradually increasing (even in laptops), the company wanted to speed up the process of developing its own touch screen digitizer. Now, companies like Synaptics and others will get massive blow to their revenue once Samsung ceases to buy digitizers from them.

Lately, we have been hearing a lot about OLED panels for future iPhones and from what we have heard, Apple will make the switch to OLED from IPS somewhere around 2018. While that date may seem far away, preparations have probably started as we are talking about the iPhone here!

The truth is that as far as OLED panels are concerned, there aren't a lot of manufacturers that can produce these displays on massive scales. It was thought before that although Samsung is the biggest name in OLED production, Apple might approach JDI or Japan Display Inc. for the supply. The rumors were based on the fact that Apple and Samsung are not exactly on "friendly" terms anymore.

A new set of rumors however, point out that the Korean giant is going to invest anywhere between $6.64 billion to $7.47 billion very soon into their panel production wing. Furthermore, the rumors also state that in 2016 itself, a sum of $2.49 billion to $3.32 billion is going into Samsung's OLED production process. Supposedly, this would bump up the production rate to 30,000 - 40,000 sheets on a monthly basis. An additional $4.17 billion will be invested next year for ensuring 45,000 units are manufactured monthly.

As far as rumors go, these massive numbers are the results of a contract between Samsung and Apple that has already been signed. This is what we have heard so far, but as always, take the "leaks" and "findings" with a pinch of salt as nothing has yet been officially declared.

Back in 2014, it seemed that was the last time we would have a smartphone with limited storage - 8 GB or 16 GB. Although there are some high end phones with more storage space, most of the smartphones come with limited space. OEMs are still pushing these kind of phones and there-by making it easy for us to run out of space after installing few apps and capturing some images.

Now Google Photo app has come up with a solution to free up spaces by adding a new option in the app's settings section. After selecting this setting the app will actually scour through the phone to find out the photos which have already been uploaded to the cloud storage. Google is also giving notification message to the users who are about to use up all the space via an Assistant card for deleting the photos already stored in the cloud. A bug which was restricting users with SD card from deleting photos is now fixed.

Google Photos is also giving option to users who had initially stored photos in their "Original quality" (limited storage in Drive) to restore all those in "High quality" for unlimited storage. It is very useful to the users who are close the Google Drive limit. To downgrade photos, all you need to do is visit photos.google.com/settings from your computer and click the "Recover Storage" option.

This update is supposed to be released on the Google Play Store from today, which means you will be able to use this in your Android device within few days or weeks.

google language translate

Learning about new languages or cultures can be a really exciting experience but finding a resource to learn a new language on your own isn't easy. So if you feel stuck and need a reliable translator, try Google Assistant's interpreter Mode. This mode or feature is now available on Android smartphones. The feature was previously released on the Google Pixel Buds and other headphones which were Google Assistant-enabled. The feature later on rolled in Google Home smart speakers and displays.

Google's interpreter Mode on Android phones can help you with real-time translation. The App has 44 different languages to choose from. To get started, follow these simple steps.  Say things like "Hey Google, be my Arabic translator" or "Hey Google, help me speak Italian" and start speaking. This feature can be pretty handy if you are traveling abroad or just want to learn a new language.

How to use real-time translation on your Android Phone?

To use Interpreter Mode on Android phones, simply bring up the Google Assistant and ask it to translate into any of the 44 supported languages. You will then see and hear the translated conversation on your phone. Assistant will also present Smart Replies to help you respond quickly without having to speak. You can also choose to use Interpreter Mode in typing mode or manually select the language you want to speak out loud. Interpreter Mode is now rolling out to Android phones with an Assistant worldwide and doesn't require any additional app downloads.

Translate a conversation

Say "Ok Google."
Say a command, like:
Be my Italian interpreter.
Help me speak Spanish.
Interpret from Polish to Dutch.
Chinese interpreter.
Turn on interpreter mode.

If you haven't identified languages, choose which languages you want to use.
When you hear the tone, start speaking in either language. You don't have to alternate between languages for interpreter mode to work.
On a Smart Display, you'll both see and hear the translated conversation.

To stop using interpreter mode, say a command like:

Stop.
Quit.
Exit.

You can also ask Google Assitant to remember  things.

Step 1. Tell your Assistant what to remember

Say "Hey Google, Remember that

". For example, you can say "Hey Google, remember that my spare keys are in the drawer next to the sink."

Step 2. Ask your Assistant to remember
Say "Hey Google, where/what is ". For example, you can say "Hey Google, where are my spare keys?"

Today Google announced that they will be taking initiatives to help raise fund for special needs project and for children who are in need of special schooling. The company will donate $1 for each purchase made with Android Pay between now and December 31st, amounting up to a total of $1 million. Additionally, the company will double that money - that's $2 for the purchases made via Google Pay on Black Friday. To do this Google.org and Android Pay have teamed up with DonorsChoose.org (an organisation dedicated to make sure that teachers and schools have all the required tools to educate all types of children).

As per Google, the Android Pay is available at over a million locations across the United States, so now you have plethora of options to buy what you want, and contribute to a good cause. By now, we all know that not all smartphones are created equal. If there's something that sets Android devices head and shoulders above some of their competitors, it's the possibility to customize them to no end. And one of the best ways to personalize your Android experience is through the proverbial lens of a new launcher.

The launcher market is constantly growing as more and more users look for different ways to personalize their Android devices, and more developers creating apps to answer those needs. To be clear, most manufacturers pre-install their own launchers on the Android devices they produce. It's the reason a Samsung phone looks different from an LG, for example. Obviously, that does not have to be the be all and end all of the way in which you phone looks and functions.

Through the use of a launcher app, you can customize your phone with new animations and graphics, and get new features like gestures and widgets. If you're really looking to change the look and feel of your Android device, you can even get a launcher that completely changes the user interface.

How does a launcher work?

The Android operating system uses an interface app to display the entire user interface when you access the home screen on your phone, tablet, or even wearable. Once installed, an Android launcher will replace the standard interface app, changing things like the home screen and the app drawer. It can also become more intuitive and bring your most used apps front and center, but more on that later.

Although both provide personalization options, launcher apps should not be confused with custom ROMs. While you only need to download and install a launcher on your device in order to use it, a custom ROM requires you to root your device. The main difference between a launcher and a custom ROM is that ROMs offer deeper system changes than mere user interface tweaks. However, since rooting your Android might end up causing more damage to a device than it's worth, most users prefer sticking to softer means of personalization.

Launchers allow you to have customization at your fingertips, without the anxiety of possibly causing serious damage to your device.

Why should you use one?

Pretty much all launchers fall in two categories: design or smart.

As the name suggests, a design launcher is created to break free of some of the design limitations your Android device might have, and bring focus to what the user interface looks and feels like. From simple, slick designs, to more intricate ones, the sky's the limit with design launchers. You can also add new custom gestures and icons to further personalize your device. All in all, a design launcher gives you a myriad of customization options for your device's UI, allowing you to basically have the last say on what your device looks like.

Meanwhile, a smart launcher goes beyond design and adapts to how you use your device. It ‘looks' at which apps you use to make them more accessible for you, basically ‘learning' what your priorities are. Depending on what kind of information you provide a smart launcher, you can even see different apps on your home screen depending on the day of the week or time of day. This is all meant to make life easier and create a uniquely customized Android experience.

If you really want a launcher that combines the both categories, smart and design, you should try Redraw Keyboard.

So, there you have it. Whether you're looking to ‘redesign' your phone, tablet or wearable, or make your device a little more intuitive, launchers have you covered on all fronts. All you need to do now is explore the market and find one that best suits your needs!

While the mobile app industry may be relatively new, it has grown at such an exponential rate that it is now one of the most expansive markets in the world. It is expected to reach a peak of $77 billion by the end of 2017, with everything from games to productivity apps available through the freemium business model that profits through option, in-app purchases.

This model is driven by volume rather than the profitability of individual apps, meaning that the market has grown thanks to minimal barriers to entry and the ability of developers to create thousands of diverse apps across Android and iOS. Interestingly, the relatively low-cost of app development and the ease with which tools can be conceived has encouraged numerous brands to create commercial apps, and there is evidence to suggest that this may offer businesses an advantage over their competitors.

So, why exactly should you look to develop a mobile app and use this as a direct marketing tool for your brand?

1. App Store Optimisation drives as ROI on your investment

If you have never heard of App Store Optimisation (ASO), this is a new process that enables businesses to use specific techniques which enhance the ranking of their branded application. Borrowing heavily from the concept of SEO, you can market your app based on a number of relevant and organic phrases, competing with rivals in order to thrive across multiple app stores. There are even a number of tools which can help to underpin your ASO campaign, which in turn helps you to measure and determine an accurate ROI.

2. Target new customers with a mobile app-install

If you ocassionally play online casino games you will note that the vast majority have a prominent mobile app which sits alongside their primary website. While the two offer a largely seamless experience and feature consistent branding, they can be considered as separate entities for the purpose of targeting specific demographics and players.

This makes perfect sense, especially as CRM software makes it easier than ever to understand demographics and target defined customer profiles. If you know which type of consumers are using your mobile app, it is easy to tailor your marketing efforts and optimise the impact of your efforts.

3. Create an additional revenue stream

Obviously, the nature of your app will depend on your brand and the products or services that it delivers, but regardless of this it can also have an impact beyond marketing. While it is always wise to make marketing applications available for free, you can incorporate in-app purchase options and tiers which have the potential to generate incremental income from loyal customers.

This is an opportunity that should never be ignored, as the combination of creating additional marketing reach while also boosting revenue delivers a diverse ROI that impacts on various aspects of your business.

9. Accountability - The Internet has helped us to hold people with authority to account. Gone are the days when governments try to hide facts, with the Internet bringing protesters together to work for the good of the people. There may be dangers of "fake news" but most of us see through that quickly.

10. The Smart Phone - The Internet is in the palm of our hands wherever we go. What better evolution of the Internet than this instant access from anywhere around the world?

The Internet continues to evolve and get better and better. We reap the rewards of the technical advances we see every day, and the list above are just a few ways our lives have been improved.

ISO files are very common now. However, still, many average PC users get inquiries regarding ISO files and how to use them correctly. If you feel confused working with ISO files, this article will be very useful for you.

You should understand that ISO file types are a special way of packaging various folders and files altogether. They are packaged into a single file with the extension which is called ISO file extension. This extension is mainly used for making images of DVDs and CDs. Such files contain everything. This is very convenient for storing your data on your personal computer, as well as for downloading it. Instead of providing vast physical media content, you can simply distribute such programs. More and more PC users tend to encounter such ISO file types because fewer and fewer devices have optical drivers.

Why do so many users of personal computers face difficulties with such ISO files? If you use Windows XP/Vista, you should understand that ISO files are not recognized by them. Every time when you want to get ISO files opened in old Windows versions, they do not work as they should. You will have to install a trustworthy software which will help you to get access to ISO files easily. You can download such programs at Wikiext. As for Windows 7, it has already the feature for burning ISO files both to DVDs and CDs. It is recommended to update to Windows 8 because this version has all necessary facilities for managing ISO files without any problems.

How can you burn ISO files to DVDs and CDs?

Mostly, ISO files are used for burning them to a physical DVDs or CDs. The only thing you will need is to extract all individual files/folders out of your ISO file and get them placed on any kind of physical media. Windows Disc Image Burner has been built-in into Windows 7. You will need to place any kind of blank DVD/CD in PC optical drive and click twice your ISO file. Once, your DVD/CD disk has been burnt, your files/folders can be used in a usual way. Nowadays, the majority of personal computers already come with built-in third-party software for burning discs.

Emulating discs by mounting ISO files

In some case, you even do not have to burn physical discs. It is much better to use ISO files directly. If you use old programs, there is a chance that the program will not recognize your external disc. In such a case, it is recommended to get your ISO files mounted. By doing this, ISO file will appear on a separate drive. Users of Windows 8 are lucky because mounting ISO files has never been that easy. They just have to right-click a certain ISO file choose "Mount" from the appeared context menu.

Reading ISO files content without unpacking

Modern applications are able to read ISO files. It works in the same way as discs. Is it also possible to use third-party websites to deal with ISO file extensions, such as windows10portal and filehippo. The content of ISO files can be read with special ZIP programs. Unpacking ISP files directly to USB drives or hard drives is possible too. Users can easily install ZIP program and get files/folders extracted into a separate folder on US drive or hard drive. Using ZIP programs is the same as you use common archive files.

Virtual-reality-business

While virtual reality was viewed as a niche product in the past, businesses across industries are starting to harness the power of VR to achieve their goals. In fact, the only limit to the use of VR is your own imagination. Let's take a look at some interesting ways of how virtual reality development transforms businesses.

1. Training

This is a crucial use case for VR because it immerses the employee in a lifelike environment or situation without actually having to deal with all of the problems the pose in the real world. For example, Walmart has used virtual reality technology in order to simulate the working conditions of Black Friday. This way, the employees will be ready for long lines, agitated customers, and the stress that comes with it.

2. Retail

Virtual reality offers a lot of benefits for both customers and businesses. A great example of this is what Ikea is doing to help customers pick out their furniture. If the customer is on the fence about buying something, they can use the app to see what a specific piece of furniture will look like in their home. This allows customers to overcome their hesitations and helps eliminate buyer's remorse.

3. Construction

It's one thing to present clients and inventors with a drawing of a proposed building and another to allow them actually to see the and walk through the proposed design. Thanks to new developments, it is now easier than ever to turn paper plans into 3D computer models.

4. Data Visualization

Thanks to VR, you will soon be able to say goodbye to boring meetings and presentations where you have to read data off PowerPoint presentations or other charts. VR will allow data to be displayed in 3D, which means that you will be able to interact with it dynamically.

5. Manufacture

VR can be very useful in the manufacturing sector since it can be applied in the design and prototyping process. In fact, companies such as Boeing and Airbus are already employing this technology, so they do not have to build expensive prototypes and are even the interior design of the cabin.

6. Real Estate

When someone is considering buying a new home, it is not enough to simply tell them about a property. You would be much more helpful to show them what the house looks like in VR which simulate the real-life property to the most minute detail. This also eliminates the need for home buyers to physically travel to a location to view a house or an apartment.

Exploring the uses of virtual reality as a tool will change the way you do business and can give you an essential edge in today's tech-focused climate. Focus now on understanding the range of possibilities and investing in the technology needed to make the most of virtual reality. Whether you're training your team or offering a cutting-edge digital experience to customers, VR can change the way you interact and do business going forward.

iphone 12

The next iPhone is going to be smaller than the iPhone 7. This is the latest news coming from unofficial sources. We have been hearing for some time now that the basic iPhone 12 might have a 5.4-inch display screen, and the latest leak just gives us a hint that how it will look like in your hands. Recently, a user of the MacRumors forum known as iZac bought a dummy phone of the iPhone. Which means it is not a real phone and more like a model representation of how it will look like. I'm sure you have seen these dummy phones in the mobile phone shops while browsing through these to feel how the real phone looks like before actually making the purchase decision.

If you compare the dummy phone of iPhone SE with iPhone 7, you will see that the latter being slightly large. That's despite the iPhone 7 has a smaller 4.-inch display, the iPhone SE is still smaller by 4.0-inches. According to his claims, the iPhone 12 dummy is 6mm wider than the iPhone SE, and 3mm narrower than the iPhone 7. It may feel more of a stretch to use than the iPhone SE but feels more manageable than the iPhone 7 due to its less rounded edges.

So, if this dummy phone is real then the basic variant of the iPhone 12 might be a great phone for people who don't like big-screen smartphones and prefer to use mobile with one hand. Especially people with smaller hands or girls, who like more compact phones that are easy to handle and keep in purse or pocket. This would be great change as phones are getting bigger and not many smartphones are sold anymore that can be held and use with a single hand, let alone high-end ones. Apple recently launched the 4.7-inch iPhone SE 2020 but that's more of a budget-category phone. It has also similar dimensions to the iPhone 7, so the iPhone 12 might be smaller than this one. Although this doesn't confirm anything, as we get closer to the launch date, we will see more leaks.

Do you remember the movie called National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation, when the gaming fever consumed Chevy Chase's impersonation of Clark W. Griswold? He went on a losing streak, to defeat all losing streaks and in the meantime, his son Rusty won four cars by playing on slot machines. Perhaps Clark might have done better if he had read this article. Here, you will discover the fundamental ideas behind slots and how they work. This will let you get past all the myths and create a strategy that is entirely based on probability.

Understand the Average Payout

When operators advertise that their slots payout an average of 90%, the fine print they do not want you to read states that you lose 10 cents for every dollar you place in the machines. In terms of probability, this endorsement means that your expected wins are minus 10 cents on each dollar that you spend.

Suppose that you start with $100 and wager one dollar at a time. After you insert $100 into the slot machine, 100 pulls later you will end up with $90 on average since you lose 10% of your funds.

If you run the $90 back into the machine, you will end up with 90% of it back. Or in other words 0.90x 90 = $81. Moreover, if you run that through, you will have approximately $72.90. If you do not stop for about 44 rounds more, all your money will be gone, unless you have Rusty's luck.

So, how many pulls at this rate do your $100 give you? Each time you will have less money to play through, so you will have less pulls left. For instance, if you play $1 at a time, you can expect approximately 972 pulls with the average payouts. This is the total pulls in about 44 rounds. However, you should keep in mind that operators are designing slots to go faster between spins. Some of them are even doing away with the tokens and handles by using digital readouts on the cards that you place in the slots. The faster machines can play about 25 spins per hour, and if you have money for 972 spins, you will have 38.88 minutes. Thus, you will not have a long time to enjoy your $100 before it is gone. So, what is the worst part here? Casinos often boast that their average payouts are as high as 95%. However, this number only applies to specific machines, and the casinos will not tell you which ones. So, you need to ask or read the fine print before you rush into playing. Another thing you can do is check the information on the slot to see if it lists its payouts.

You're probably wondering if the same works for online slots. The answer is yes. However, the percentages are usually higher, since sites have less expenses than land based operators. That is why every day, gamblers all around the world are discovering new slot websites where they can play the popular game.

How to Implement a Simple Strategy for Slots?

Advice varies regarding if you play nickel, quarter or dollar slots and if you should max the number of coins you wager or not. In this section, we will give you several tips on getting the most bang for your money.

When it comes to slots, strategy boils down to knowing your probability of winning, the expected payouts, and the rules, quitting while you are ahead and dispelling any myths.
If you win $100, you should cash out half and play with the rest. After you lose a particular amount, you should not hesitate to quit. You should go to the all you can eat buffet and try your luck with the food, the odds are that it is good.

How Many Coins Should You Play at a Time?

When you are determining the number of coins you should bet per spin, you should scrutinize that more can be better. If the slot gives you more than 2x the payout when you place in 2x the coins, you should max out instead of playing only one coin. This way you will enhance your chances of winning a larger pot, and the expected value will be higher. If the machine just gives you n times the payout for n coins, it will not matter if you use the max number of coins or not. You might as well play 1 at a time until you can make money and leave so your money lasts longer.

For example, if a quarter machine pays you 10 credits for the 777 outcome when you place one quarter. However, if you play 2 quarters, it will give you 25 credits. And if you play the max number of quarters, for example four, the same outcome will result in 1,000 credits. You can see how playing four quarters at once will give you a greater chance of winning a larger pot in the long run compared to a single one at a time for four tries in a row.

Business-phone-features

If you are using a phone for your business, it is necessary that you use it properly or else it won't be effective adhering to your day to day business needs. Whatever business it is that you are pursuing, always remember that the marketing competition now is tight. There could be hundreds to thousands of companies/businesses around offering and selling the same services and products as yours. With this, it is imperative that all tools you use for your business should thoroughly work to its purpose, including your business phone.

You might be a bit challenged about using your business phone effectively, and to help you in making sure that your phone will work to its purpose, here are some tips you may want to consider.

  • Avoid giving and using your phone for personal use

Do you want to play online casinos and sister sites? Do not use your business phone to access and play. If this you start to do, you will find it hard to separate work from personal pleasure. You will start playing games in the middle of working or during the time when there is an important meeting you have to attend.

Same goes to giving your phone number for personal reasons, as you will not find it easy to differentiate work related concerns from personal. If a friend or a family member asks for your number, you have to give your personal number as your business phone should only be used solely for business purposes.

  • Always answer phone calls and text messages

Make sure that all phone calls are picked up the same as with the messages. People will find it easy to let go of any business if they do not feel important. They can easily find a company to replace the service and products you offer.

Be very attentive with business calls and messages to keep a good relationship with your customers. Those who neglect calls might soon lose their customers one by one.

Answering calls and messages means that you are concerned about the issues and questions your customer has to raise.

  • Create an auto response

You might have noticed that phones have automated response features, that lets you respond to text messages and calls in just a few clicks. Like "I am driving right now, will call you back", or "I am in a meeting right now, please call again later" and so on. These automated response features will help you in making sure that your customers won't feel neglected at all.

Make sure that at the onset of the day or an event, there is an automated response you will click if someone calls or sends a message.

  • Save your customers' phone numbers

It is awkward to ask a caller who he/she is, if he/she has been calling you ten times already. Saving their number and addressing them using their name immediately when you pick up their call would make them feel special.
