iPad 3 Front Glass panel

Some New Rumors from Some New Sources about the iPad 3 launch date and the New A5X Processor from Apple, iPad 3 is rumored to being the longer digitizer in a different location from the iPad 2, this possibly indicating an upgraded display for the tablet. This device will, according to this same source, have the capability of recording 1080p video, will have the A5X processor we saw this week, and will come with Siri installed.

The A5X processor turns out to be NOT a Quad-core processor like the A6 is supposed to be eventually, but another dual-core processor with amped-up power and capabilities over the original A5. The A5 currently sits in the iPad 2 as well as the iPhone 4S and it is the first dual-core chipset for a mobile device made for Apple by Samsung.

Next thing we know, that the iPad 3 will be announced on the 7th of March.

Samsung Ad Street challenge

Samsung can not stop sniping at Apple, and the latest Galaxy Note street challenge seems to have convinced at least one disgruntled iPhone4s owner, Comparing between the two phones capabilties "Embarrassed" the iPhone user. (Watch the Video Below!)

For its latest commercial, Samsung apparently took its 5.3-inch smartphone-tablet hybrid to the mean streets of New York City, giving Android users a few hours to get to grips with the "phablet", and then pitted them against iPhone owners on a series of challenges. The Two companies still have HUGE issues and patents between each other in the US and many other countries.

Apple vs. Samsung

The street tasks go heavy on in-built functionality, with the Galaxy Note annotation abilities as well as its photo editing tools each put through their paces. In contrast, the poor iPhone owner is left gaping at her Samsung-toting rival.

iTunes

Apple has quietly launched Mastered for iTunes, a push to deliver music "exactly as the artists and sound engineers intend it to be heard",  the company maintains that iTunes Plus 256kbps AAC files are still sufficient rather than lossless. In an updated guide to sound engineers and others involved in producing music for digital distribution, Apple outlines the new "Master for iTunes droplet" which can be used to create high-quality iTunes Plus files from AIFF or WAVE masters.

Mastered for iTunes

The Droplet creates an AAC audio file from an AIFF or WAVE source file by first generating a CAF (Core Audio File) rendered with an iTunes sound check profile applied to the file. If the sample rate of the source file is greater than 44.1 kHz, it is downsampled to 44.1 kHz using our mastering-quality SRC. Next, it uses this newly rendered CAF to render a high quality AAC audio file. Once the final AAC audio file is generated, the intermediary CAF is deleted"Apple Mastered for iTunes guide

Tegra 3

What Makes the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor unique and more advanced than others Quad-core Architectures out there ? It features a fifth companion-core.

The job of this core is to handle all the usual menial tasks while the four performance cores rest, to be called upon only when there is a need for significant graphical power, such as in 3D games. This results in amazing battery life because the companion core consumes very little power compared to the four performance cores.

Nvidia Tegra 3 Architecture

This kind of architecture is called as variable symmetric architecture (or vSMP). But as you can image that is not something that would look at home on a box or a store sign, which is why Nvidia kept calling it things like having a companion core or ninja core.

Nvidia Tegra 3 specs

Nvidia have finally come up with a proper name for it and they have trademarked it too. And that name is 4-PLUS-1.

Galaxy S II

The Samsung Galaxy S II has grown from a single phone to a Big family of mobiles in all shapes and sizes. It took Samsung about three months to ship 5 million units and another two months for sales to reach 10 million.

Now, sales of the outgoing Samsung flagship droid have reached 20 million units across the world. It launched 10 months ago, meaning it took five months to sell both the first and the second ten million units.

The sales did not slow down probably because new modifications kept coming out with screen sizes reaching from up to 4.65-inch from the original 4.3-inch and with 4G LTE connectivity thrown in for good measure.

Google plans to launch glasses with a heads-up display by the end of 2012, the New York Times reports citing sources familiar with the matter. The glasses, who were previously rumored to have a front-facing camera with flash and a voice input interface, will be Android based, sources say.

They will include a display, mere inches from the wearer eye, streaming real-time info about your surroundings, similar to the various augmented reality applications we have seen on smartphones.

As Seen on "Iron Man" Movie!

The data will be fetched through a 3G/4G data connection, and the glasses will retrieve information about their surroundings through GPS and several sensors. The glasses will cost "around the price of current smartphones" sources say. While definitely not very precise current smartphones cost anywhere from $150 to $600 this price range shows that Google intends the glasses as a product for the mass market.

The Nokia PureView is the rumored successor to the Nokia N8 camera-centered smartphone. Earlier online gossip had it its official name will be Nokia N808 PureView and it will be wielding the most capable camera mounted on a smartphone to date.

The Nokia video teaser does not really do much to confirm or refute those rumors, but we are hoping they come out right. The camera division of the company did an excellent job of the N8, but the handset was let down by its unimpressive chipset and less than stellar OS and UI.

Eluga

Panasonic unveiled the specifications of their Android smartphone dubbed the Eluga, expected to debut on the European market this March.

Eluga is powered by a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor and 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which we have come to expect from high-end droids these days. At the front we find a 4.3-inch OLED display with qHD 960 x 540 pixels resolution.

Eluga

It is also water- and dust-proof with NFC on-board. Remarkably, this has not made the device as thick as one might expect. The Eluga is just 7.8mm thick and weighs only 103grams, which, to bring it in a perspective, beats the Galaxy S II hands-down.

The reason for the phone little hump at the back is the 8MP auto-focus snapper with image stabilization. Speaking of the back, underneath the back cover resides 1,150 mAh battery good for 300h of standby and 240 minutes of talk time.

Eluga

The Eluga will run Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 when initially sold with Ice Cream Sandwich coming in the Spring of this year, or at least that what Panasonic promises.

Desktop Mode

If you have used a Motorola Android device over the past year or so, you have very likely experienced Motorola own webtop mode, this allowing your smartphone a desktop-like interface when plugged into an HDMI-capable display.

The information we gathered leads to the idea that Android 5.0 JB will have a desktop mode which activates whenever the device is plugged into a larger display. Could this have anything to do with Google recent near-complete deal in which they are
acquiring Motorola Mobility? It certainly would allow them to avoid patent suits should they actually make a desktop mode.

Motorola Desktop Mode

The next version of Android is certainly going to be called "Jelly Bean" simply because of the naming conventions that Google has adopted for Android.

Have a peek at the demo below of webtop as it existed in late 2011 and see if you think it is viable for the future of all Android devices. So Are you Ready for your New Desktop/Mobile linux-based Operating System Jelly Bean ?

We already leaked the Start-up screen animation and the icon of Windows 8, Today we the Have the final official logo of Windows 8 (picture above).

Win8

The Windows logo has gone through several changes over the years. What started as a simple, monochrome 2D logo with Windows 1.0 slowly became more complex as more colors were added along with a bit of depth, until it started resembling a flag by the time XP came out. That "flag" then got ensconced inside an orb with Vista and has been the same ever since. from Windows Steam blog post:

It's a window... not a flag

Paula asked us a simple question, "your name is Windows. Why are you a flag?"

With the Windows 8 logo, Microsoft has attempted to move away from this flag shaped logo towards something that goes well along with the "Windows" name, as well as fit with the new Metro style of the UI. For this they hired the designers at Pentagram and thus the new Windows 8 logo was born.

Android had pretty tasty Names from the begins: Alpha, Beta, Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich... and Now Jelly Bean. Angry Birds Space

Angry Birds Space promises to be an exciting departure from the usual Angry Birds gameplay. There will still be some limbless bird flinging but this time the conditions are different.

As the name suggests, the game will take place in outer space and this introduces some interesting new parameters to the gameplay. You will be playing in zero gravity, which should heavily affect the game physics. Meanwhile, there are also going to be some new birds to fling, along with some familiar ones.

Space

Angry Birds Space is going to be the biggest launch for any Angry Birds game since the original, with a simultaneous release on mobile, animation, retail, and publishing; not just a first for Rovio but also for any mobile game so far. Rovio has promised more details on the game in early March and the launch will be on March,22.

Apple

Apple has said that the next iteration of its OS X operating system will be sold exclusively through the online Mac App Store. This means you will require a fast Internet connection and an Apple ID in order to upgrade to this OS when it releases later this year.

Apple started this trend with Lion, which was its first OS to be sold online. They even removed the software DVDs that were provided along with Macs that were sold with Lion pre-installed. However, later on Apple did start selling the OS on bootable flash drives through its stores for $69, which is a lot more than the $29 you pay for the OS through the Mac App Store. However, that option will be discontinued with the release of Mountain Lion.

iPad 2 and iPad 3

The most persistent rumor for Apple next-gen iPad is the use the introduction of high-resolution Retina Display similar to what is been offered on the company latest iPhones. And today, more claims support the rumor with an close-up examination of what is allegedly the display component of an iPad 3.

Conclusion

iPad 2 iPad 3

2x2 Pixels 4x4 Pixels

512x2= 1024pi 512x4= 2048pi

384x2= 768pi 384x4= 1536pi

Disp. Res: 1024x758p Desp. Res: 2048x1536p

MacRumors claims to have obtained an iPad 3 display component and compared it to an iPad 2 display. Upon first glance the look rather similar, both sporting a the 9.7-inch diagonal size. But with close examination, and by that we mean under a microscope, the pixel density was noticeably different. Based on this finding, the iPad 3 would sport a full resolution of 2048 x 1536 compared to the iPad 2 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.

Windows 8

Microsoft new logo for Windows 8 is prompting far more reaction than you might expect from four skewed squares. Revealed yesterday after a spate of low-profile leaks, the logo is according to Microsoft Windows team itself as much an homage to the earliest, pared-down graphics of Windows 1.0 as it is a nod to the Metro UI that has become the theme of Windows Phone, Xbox LIVE and, soon, Windows 8 itself. Complaints about the new logo have generally centered on its insipid lack of distinctiveness, but according to the designers themselves this is merely the first step of many incoming changes.

Windows 8 icon

Microsoft used external design agency Pentagram to create the new logo, and according to that team the sharp-edged icon should be seen as the first of a new language. The existing flag-like shape has been flattened out and made crisp, and other Microsoft products and services will make similar evolutions too. See the Demo Videos Below!

Amid all the IPO hysteria that has recently surrounded Facebook, the social network also made news by announcing it plans to introduce mobile advertising for users who connect to the site through a smartphone app. In just its first year, where the ads will only be active in six countries, that initiative could bring in more than a billion more dollars to the soon-to-be public company bottom line.

Specifically, moblie research group MobileSquared predicts that within the first 12 months after Facebook mobile ads go live, there will be a $1.2 billion revenue stream that did not exist before. That may sound impressive, but when you factor in the number of users who are active in the mobile Facebook world, that is only around $6.50 per user per year.

Android Jelly Bean

Android 5.0 Jelly Bean may arrive as early as Q2 2012, supply chain sources claim, with Google apparently integrating Chrome OS functionality for dual-boot tablets and netbooks. Those are not the search giant only dual-OS ambitions. However, insiders tells that Google is pushing Android 5.0 and Windows 8 hybrids to its manufacturing partners, for notebooks, netbooks and tablets that offer the best of both platforms. but we will not see any Android 5.0 JB devices till 2013.

Although Google is yet to comment significantly on whether Ice Cream Sandwich has met its expectations in the market, it is clear that Android 4.0 is yet to gain a significant foothold. According to Google's own stats, as of February 1 2012 only 1-percent of devices were running ICS, with the majority still on Android 2.3.x Gingerbread.

Jelly Bean

UPDATE!

Galaxy Nexus Ultima Android 5.0 JB Concpet Phone

The dual-booting Android 5.0 Jelly Bean and Windows 8 machines will be able to hot-swap between the two platforms, the sources indicate, rather than demanding a reboot each time. That would give users the opportunity to use Android for its web-centric functionality and speed, while switching to Windows would offer the various legacy and business apps many users still demand.

Also, It is worth remembering that Microsoft Windows 8 hardware requirements apparently block second OS installation on ARM-based PCs by users, thanks to a locked Secure Boot system, though it is unclear whether OEMs are permitted to do so before the hardware leaves the factory.

Google Will Speed-up Android 5.0 Developerment

A Taiwan-based supply chain makers said to Digitimes:

"Android 5.0 will be further optimized for tablet PCs, while Google will also integrate its Chrome system functions to push dual-operating system designs. Brand vendors can either choose to adopt only Android 5.0 or add Android 5.0 to Windows 8 devices with the ability to switch between the two OSes without the need to shut down the computer.

However, since Android 4.0 did not perform as well as expected, several of Google's downstream partners are turning conservative about Android 5.0."

Apple US Patents Against Galaxy Nexus

US Patent No. 5946647 - System and method for performing an action on a structure in computer-generated data.
Apple previously won the ruling over this patent, resulting in the ban of importation or sale on a number of HTC Android devices, including the T-Mobile G2, the AT&T Aria, the Sprint Evo 4G and the Verizon Droid Incredible. It affects the device's ability to detect a phone number, date or address and allow the detected content to initiate an action resulting in a new application such as the phone dialer or maps to launch.

US Patent No. 8086604 - Universal interface for retrieval of information in a computer system.
This refers to searching multiple sources of information on a device from a single means of entry. Apple make reference to Siri specifically, but they argue that the inclusion of text-based entry via the means of Spotlight would be just as viable for grounds of infringement.

US Patent No. 8046721 - Unlocking a device by performing gestures on an unlock image.
Every iOS device has that recognizable 'slide to unlock' bar along the bottom of the screen. Despite already having patent coverage on the image unlock feature, this newer, broader patent aims to include the more unique ways in which other OEMs have developed for unlocking their Android devices.

US Patent No. 8074172 - Method, system, and graphical user interface for providing word recommendations.
The fourth and final patent in Apple arsenal is also the most recent. It covers the nature of semi-predictive text entry; that is to say, when the user starts to enter text into the device and is given the option to accept or reject suggested words manually.

BMW M6 2013

Are a fan of BMW? Do you like the M-series high-performance cars? This is your lucky day... NEW Official photos of the 2013 BMW M6 have surfaced. BMW is offering up multiple shots of both coupe and convertible versions of the car, and I think for me this is one of those cars that I need to see in person.

Both cars will come with a specially calibrated seven-speed DSG transmission. BMW also fits the car with its latest DSC system and an active M differential to help put the power to the road.

HTC Endeavor

HTC Endeavor ROM was leaked today with HTC Sense 4.0 UI, Along with diagrams of the upcoming smartphone along with hints of an "HTC Speak" potential Siri-rival being dragged from the leaked ROM. Curiously, although the graphics used in the ROM as part of the SIM-insertion sequence show the angular Android device leaked last week. Meanwhile, Members who is digging on this ROM has apparently un-revealed a movie editing app and not the regular Google one along with HTC Speak, a voice command system.

HTC Endeavor

Unfortunately, right now there is little more than naming information for the new HTC apps. It is unclear whether HTC has followed in Apple footsteps and created or licensed a true Siri-style digital personal assistant, or whether it is the more mundane voice-dictation and shortcut system we have seen on other Android devices.

LG Optimus 3D 2

We just got the first photo of the LG Optimus 3D 2 that will be the Upcoming 3D phone from LG this year and we expect LF to show it on the MWC this Month. The LG Optimus 3D 2 will, reportedly, be using a higher resolution IPS screen than its predecessor. Given that this will be the company next flagship, we are almost certain that it will feature the HD AH-IPS display we know from the LG Optimus LTE.

The Optimus 3D 2 is also said to be considerably slimmer than its predecessor at 9.8mm and at least 20 g lighter. Given that its chubby body was one of the main issues with the original Optimus 3D, this can only be good news for the LG Optimus 3D 2.

Nokia N9 ICS

Two Days ago we posted some shots of Android ICS 4.0 running on Nokia N9, port-maker Alexey Roslyakov has returned with a video demo of Ice Cream Sandwich on the ordinarily MeeGo smartphone. Roklyakov hack turns the N9 into a dual-booting device hitting the volume key during boot stops MeeGo from running and instead brings up Android 4.0.3.

There are still several issues still to be overcome before Android on the N9 is a realistic prospect, however. Currently the battery indicator is not working the N9 says it needs to be plugged in, though it is clear from the video that is already the case and network connectivity is also non-functional at present.

Foursquare

With the Foursquare update, Android 4.0 users with NFC phones can now share their lists and the venues they have visited with a friend just by tapping phones. Users can now tap phones to initiate friend requests or tap their phone against an NFC tag or poster to check in.

Foursquare ICS

NFC, or near field communication, allows devices to exchange data over short distances, typically with a wave or a tap. In Foursquare Android update, NFC support has been added for the app Venue, Lists and Me pages.

On Android, NFC support has been rebranded for marketing purposes, and is called "Android Beam." The touch-to-share functionality lets NFC-enabled Android phones share information between each other, including contacts, web pages, and videos, for example.

Sony is looking into porting the Vita OS onto smartphones and tablets, Not just this, but Sony also looking into porting current popular Smartphones apps to the Vita platform. Vita OS has been designed by Sony to be expandable and can be used for powering smartphones and tablets.

Sony deputy president Kunimasa Suzuki said that they will be putting in energy in building up the PlayStation Suite for this very purpose. They may not be in a hurry to port it over on to other platforms right now but it is certainly something they could do down the line.

Apple may not made any ads for the super bowl game like all other companies, but Apple Marketing team was making two new ads to advertise the iPhone4s which were recently released by Apple and Siri is again the star of the show in both instances.

"Road Trip" the ad is clearly gunning for the Valentine's day gift purchase idea. Add to that the obligatory Apple website redesign swathed in red text and suggestions of romantic engravings for the back of your iPod, iPad or iPhone.

Cantrell showed that with only some cables and a little experience can make a useable Android-Desktop Computer with a big screen, Android devices Nowadays have enough CPU and RAM to do this, Here is the Stuff that Cantrell used to create the Android Computer:

  • Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Not-Rooted)
  • LCD Screen
  • MHL cable for the Galaxy Nexus (for Display)
  • MicroUSB Cable with a USB Hub

Wallet

Two days ago, We posted about Google Wallet HUGE security vulnerability hat effects all users regardless of if they are rooted or not, but Google has come forward to say there is nothing wrong with the product and anyone who is at risk of losing sensitive Google Wallet data is someone who made a specific decision to lower their entire phone security, and it is their problem.

Google also announced that its Wallet app is Safe to use and this round of bad publicity should not be taken out of proportion.

Wallet

Google Official comment on this:

"Google Wallet is protected by a PIN as well as the phone lock screen, if a user sets that option. But sometimes users choose to disable important security mechanisms in order to gain system-level "root" access to their phone; we strongly discourage doing so if you plan to use Google Wallet because the product is not supported on rooted phones,".

The Father

This Man is not Crazy, He is just Pissed OFF!

If you are a teenager, you better be careful what you post on Facebook. Especially, If you have a father who works in IT. But there is that one quirk about teenagers no matter what common sense says, they think they know better. That is, until they are taught a lesson they can never forget. Apparently this dad thought a bullet might teach that lesson. Better yet, nine bullets. He shot his daughter's computer after finding a disparaging message on her Facebook wall.

Laptop being shoot

And he documented it all on video so he could post it on YouTube for all to see. And so far it has received nearly 2.9 million views. In the video, the angry dad reveals he saw a hidden wall post on her daughter Facebook account while he was upgrading her computer. "Since you want to hide it from everyone, I am going to share it with everybody," the dad, Tommy Jordan, said. He then goes on to read her tirade about how she dislikes her chores and all the other stuff most teenagers have to deal with.

Windows 8

Microsoft long-awaited Windows 8 release for public testing will be unveiled at a press event in Barcelona on 29,February, tying in with the Mobile World Congress occurring at the same time, the company announced today.

Originally referred to as the Windows 8 beta, the release will instead be called the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, which gives us a pretty good idea as to Microsoft target audience. Microsoft did not specifically say the Consumer Preview will be available to the public on February 29, but from what I am hearing that will likely be the case.

Imagine a Google Music Player that uses latest NFC integrations and Android OS around you gomee.

The information about the Google-branded device comes from a "Wall Street Journal" report from unnamed people briefed on the project. If true, it would mark the Google first attempt at creating a hardware product without the aid of an electronics manufacturing partner. The search giant is concentrated recently on its open-source Android operating system software for mobile and streaming media devices.
